Thanks bruh. i'll admit stuve is my least confident pick of the bunch, he should be the dog in this fight, but not by this much....with his length, reach, bottom game, HEART(we've seen him come back from some brutal beatings), he's a match-up problem for lots of guys in the wieght class, just hard to find guys built like him to train with(ala jon jones light, in a sense). he's dangerous where ever the fight goes, and I like my chances at +210 for a bill 20. not to mention, he improves leaps and bounds each time we see him fight, and puts a little more muscle mass on each time, and he seems to be getting smarter as far as gameplans go. overall he's a guy i like my money on cus he always comes to fight ala nick diaz, condit(exept for last fight), jds, certain people i dont mind gambling a little even if i believe there opponet has a slight edge.

I love the Jones/Bendo/Machida/Benavidez parlay. Tailed you on that, except my book doesn't have odds for Benavidez at the moment so I've just got the other 3 unfortunately. I'd personally be hitting Benavidez SU even at those odds.

I'm laying off both Shogun and Machida for the FOX card. I don't think you can count Bader out, especially considering his good cardio and the fact that Machida gassed out after 1 round with Jon Jones, and a round he won, too.

Because he was slow, breathing heavy, and Jones took advantage. You could see how tired he was at the start of round 2.

Yeah you could see a definite change and him slowing down in the second. After the fight the claimed illness. Flu or some shit.

  10. #10

i watched that fight at a poker game and didnt hear about any illness. im def goin2 rewatch it. i didnt think machida deserved a rematch but if he was sick and beats bader easily i can c it.

I'm big on Machida. I just can't see where Bader wins, I don't think he can take him down and Machida is just gonna tear him apart standing. Maybe he can wall and stall like Rampage did...

Well if he gases again in the 2nd, Bader can take him down and win 2 rounds.

True...I'm guessing I'll buy Machida's excuse of being sick. He wasn't too gassed at the end of the Rampage fight and he didn't seem too bad during Shogun I. I've seen some pics from training camp and the dude is in good shape for this fight.

Machida's gone most of his fights without gassing, so I don't think it's fair to say he has bad cardio because of one poor performance.

Sort of like how I'm not taking how Bader got knocked out by Tito Ortiz into account.

Well, I didn't say he has bad cardio, I said he gassed after 1 round with Jon Jones. a) a round he won. b) it was his last fight

Also, Tito submitted Bader. Who knows if he would have been able to end it with punches if he didn't go for the guillotine.

Fair nuff, I'd say it's safe to say that Machida has good cardio though.

Bader has stated that he was KO'ed and woke up in the guillotine.

Yeah, I know, but if he wasn't guillotined, it's possible he could have defended/fought back and woken up while sitting in the corner between rounds.

but in any case- you should take everything into account. it's possible machida could get a first round KO. combine what tito did to bader and what machida did to couture, it's not hard picturing the fight playing out a similar way.

  20. #20

Machida went 5 solid rounds with Shogun. I doubt he has gassing issues. He held down a fat, injured, unmotivated, asian ******* Rampage and everyone wants to act like he is a contender.

Truth is, Bader's wrestling has never wow'd me.

machida apparently had the flu for that fight, but also he was fighting jon jones, you'd have to imagine it would take alot of energy just chasing him down and trying to get within reach to hit him, it has to be extremely tiring dealing with his reach, and wieght. we've seen many guys look exhusted fighting jon, by the time you figure him out your wore out, you get within reach and he uses his greco roman and body wieght to slam you down. just saying, i could see how fighting jon jones could wear you out more so than fighting someone else. machida has never had a conditioning problem, he has been in many 3 round fights, and a 5 round war with shogun. bader wont be able to take machida down, and machida should pick him apart on the feet.

  22. #22

Machida gonna win a decision. Machida is very healthy and has MUCH more technical striking than Bader. Bader has to take him down and hold him there in order to win... but, as a matter of fact Machida is going to hurt Bader with standing strikes in each round.

    Bader via TKO/KO +600
    Bader via Sub +1500
    Bader via Decision +500

    Machida via TKO/KO -110
    Machida via Sub +450
    Machida via Decision -200

Nice parlays again mate, I have an ongoing one that needs Bendo and Herman to win to cash and another that needs Bendo and Jones - kind of limiting me for this event at the moment since I hate putting all my eggs in one basket, even with picks I feel strongly about. MMA can be a bitch like that.

I really like those plays man, very legit. Parlays aren't my thing, but those look solid from what I can tell. I am going big on Bendo as well, so GL to you.
