definitely some options out there.. i would think chuck, tito, hughes or maybe coleman but none of them are "retired." On the other hand I would be shocked if Dana could swallow his pride and actually award tito or chuck with anything.

Wow, I am believer in Jones like everyone else but -465 against O 'brien WOW. O' brien +345 please. Bonnar had a number of things going against him last fight, explains why he got caught with an ankle pick and looked like shit the whole fight. Jones is on his way up but i just can't see it at those odds. At HW, Jake got pounded out by AA and Cain. He was fighting a good fight against AA until he go cocky after the first round and started trading with him more in the 2nd. Got caught, then pounded out. Cain just manhandeled him for the ref stoppage. Both fights were reasons enough to drop to LHW.

I have no issues with Herb Dean ref'ing as I have only seen him screw up once in the Marquardt/Leites fight. I hate the fact that Mazzagatti is getting a title fight. He is one of the worst refs in my opinion. I think Mario Yamasaki and Josh Rosenthal are good refs that deserve a chance to ref a big fight. Why isn't Big John McCarthy reffing UFC fights? I know Dana hates him because he retired and then commentated the first Affliction card, but if the athletic comission chooses the refs, is there someway Dana is keeping Big John from ref'ing in the UFC?

Nah, Big John walked away to do his own MMA radio show and reffing would cause a conflict of interest, i heard hes giving up on the show to return to reffing. No real bad blood between Dana and John

Big John has already been doing other shows and has been back for awhile now. If I'm not mistaken he did the 2nd Affliction card and some Strikeforce cards. Still has yet to do any UFC events.
