How the pool works:

-Each player will start off with a $10,000 bank roll.

-Each player can bet a MAXIMUM of 1,000 "dollars" each MMA/Boxing event.

-The pool will begin at the next UFC event (April 14) and will run for the next 10 consecutive MMA/boxing events.

-Whoever has the highest "dollar" amount at the end of the pool, wins the pot.

-A player can bet on any MMA or boxing line using the opening line from Pinnacle.

-A player can bet any moneyline, proposition or parlay bet taken from Pinnacle.

- All picks must be submitted by 11:59pm EST the day before each sporting event or no bet will be taken from that player for that event.

-A player does not have to use the entire $1,000 limit for each event. In fact, you don't have to place any bet for any given event if you don't want to.

-Ties reduce on all parlays (in the event of a draw, the bet drops down to the next lowest number, for example a 4 team parlay with one draw becomes a 3 team parlay)

-All wagers will be recorded on my spreadsheet so the pool is completely transparent. I will list the players name under "sportsbook," that way if a player wants to see their wager history, they can go to my spreadsheet, go to the drop box listed "sportsbook" and find their name in the drop box. Once their name is selected, they can see their picks and win/loss %. Simple addition or subtraction of the player's "net" from the 10,000 bankroll will yield the player's balance.

For example, if a players net balance is +5,000, you would add that to the $10,000 bank roll. (10,000 + 5,000 = 15,000). The opposite goes for a negative balance. A net balance of -5,000 would be subtracted from the $10,000 bankroll. (10,000 - 5,000 = 5,000.)

-The entry fee for the pool is 50 points. I will not be taking a cut of the pool, however, any points thrown my way by the winners will be greatly appreciated.

Payouts to the winners will be as follows:

Highest "dollar" amount by the end of the pool = 60%

2nd highest "dollar" amount by the end of the pool = 15%

3rd highest "dollar" amount by the end of the pool = 15%

Longest losing streak = 10%


If I do not get at least 6 players for the pool, I will return all points to those who have sent points.

It's going to be every UFC event (with the exception of the ultimate fighter) from April 14 (Gustafsson vs Silva) on. The next 3 after that are:

April 21 - UFC 145 (Jones vs Evans)

May 5 - UFC on FOX (Diaz vs Miler)

May 15 - UFC on FUEL (Korean Zombie vs Poirier)

Any event listed under event schedule on UFC.com. When there is a major boxing event in between I will specify which one(s).

On an occasion where a boxing event and an MMA event fall on the same night, the $1,000 limit will apply to each event separately. For example, May 5 is Mayweather vs Cotto which is the same night as Diaz vs Miller. Each player will be able to wager a maximum of $1,000 on the MMA event and another $1,000 on the boxing event (each of the events on May 5 will be counted as separate events toward the ultimate 10).

I originally included boxing in the hopes of attracting more players, but it looks like thats actually turning people off. As of now, it looks like only 2 boxing events will be included. Mayweather/Cotto and Pacquiao/Bradley

I can list the opening lines for each fight on the forum. I will be accepting prop bets as well on each UFC event from Pinnacle, but I won't be actually listing the props on the forum. If a player chooses to bet a prop from Pinnacle, just list the roster # along with the risk amount. Any combination of straight and prop bet can be parlayed as well.

As far as the 50 point buy in, I didn't want to make it too high for the first pool. This is more of a feeling out period where I can gauge how much each person wants to risk. So for the next MMA pool, we'll see how much everyone is willing to put up.

How will you know the opening lines for props on 5dimes? They come out at random times and change rapidly?

I have cut and pasted the prop lines from 5dimes yesterday. Those are the lines I was going to use for the Pool. It may not be the exact opening line, but Its the only way to keep the lines static. I will post all the lines for the UFC event on April 14 later today.

Please include rotation # along with the risk amount (the risk amount cannot exceed $1,000 for this event).
When submitting a parlay, please use this format:

I know it's a pain in the ass to write it all out on different lines, but for recording/grading purposes, it makes it a lot easier on me. Please double check to make sure the rotation# and odds match.
