I know, this geeks have watched too many martial arts movies and dragon ball z series. They think the world revolves arround who could beat who in a street fight.

If I had to take an athlete into a street fight on my side, I'd pick Serena Williams.

I don't think that MMA is "street fighting" but I agree it's not as comparable to boxing as some believe.

i checked the calendar today and it didnt say 2006. So this fight doesnt mean anything to me. When i see cotto i see talent. When i think of cotto i think of him getting housed by manny. No interest as cotto wont do anything.

yeah but this is a fight that needed to happen some day. Cotto and Mayweather have been rivals way before Pacquiao even showed up. Reason why this fight didnt happen in 2006 was Bob Arum. Same reason why Pac-Floyd isnt happening today.

Anyway with Cotto having a title and avenging his loss to Margaritto this is the perfect time for a Floyd-Cotto fight

People on SBR are just programmed to say everything is "Bob Arum's fault". Even if they're talking out of their ass.

Floyd campaigned for the fight years ago at 140, Cotto is the one who basically ducked it. His camp said he wasn't "ready yet". When they got to 147, Cotto and Arum were the ones pressing Floyd for the fight and Floyd didn't want it anymore. He simply "retired".

Gamboa is fighting Brandon Rios? Oh shit that's a good fight.

I hope Gamboa whoops his ass.

Rios will have a massive size advantage. He walks into the ring around 150-155. That's why he had so much trouble making the weight in his last fight vs john murray. He looked like a fuking skeleton at the weigh in and still didn't make 135.

Yea, I remember Rios missing weight. Gamboa is skipping two weight divisions for this fight correct? If so, that is pretty crazy to do that without a tune up fight.

i wanted Cotto at 140 but after he saw me put a whooping on Arturo Gatti(RIP), he wanted none of it. Go youtube that fight and you can see Cotto's face as he watches me in the audience. Cotto has never called me out since then and Bob Arum just used my name to give Cotto more publicity but he never wanted to make that fight. Why do you think as soon as Cotto left Arum it was so easy to make the fight?

Put the house on it. I'm going to destroy this kid.

Timothy Bradley is actually a good fighter. Think he has a decent shot at the huge upset.

i love mma, but most of the striking is pretty sloppy, watching a master boxer like floyd or gamboa fight is a breath of fresh air.
