This is the play I immediately thought of when I saw this fight announced. No way we will get +money on it though.

This isn't going to headline guys. More than likely Cain vs. Mir will headline so this will probably be 3 rounds.

Hard to call a winner in this one... but I love fight going the distance and FOTN plays if the prices are right.

Let's see if Diaz has improved enough to beat the wrestlers at 155, guys like Guida, Maynard and Stevenson were what made him move to 170.

He moved from 155 to 170 so he'd go from small grapplers like Guida to big grapplers like MacDonald? Doesn't make sense.

I think he made the move to not cut the weight.

He moved originally because there were no fights available against high-level guys in the LW division after his fight with Maynard - they were all tied up. He didnt want to have to cut weight to fight lower to mid level LW's...might as well do that in WW division which he did against Markham and Davis

He shouldn't have accepted that fight against MacDonald!

I can't believe I had Nate Diaz against Rory. I started betting and keeping track of my bets starting UFC 126, and Nate Diaz losing to Rory MacDonald at UFC 129 was my first loss. (I had skipped the Spike TV cards in between the PPV cards) Was my only loss that night, though. Just before Matyushenko and Brilz started to fight, I said to my friend "Watch, Matyushenko is gonna knock him out in 20 seconds." and he knocked Brilz out in EXACTLY 20 seconds. It was a crazy moment.

ha yeah but that's the Diaz's for u...not the sharpest. But then the WW division was not as stacked as the LW division

Maybe, but Diaz has developed his game to the point where it will be very hard for any LW to just lay on top of him. Im pretty sure Maynard wasnt able to and he's a better wrestler and has better top control than Miller. Jim also isnt really the type of fighter to not take chances and just lay n pray is he. Only fight I've ever seen him come even close to doing that was when he stepped in on a weeks notice against Matt Wiman and so when he got tired in the end of round 2 he started to just try and control Wiman on the ground and get the decision.

good matchup but diaz will be simply to much for him. if this fight stays standing miller in big trouble. i see miller getting caught with a sub during a scramble, similar to neer ludwig. diaz gets title shot after this big victory.

if there were no time limits and these matches were true real fights the diaz brothers would never lose. they would both be champions in there weight classes and for a long time. the only way you beat a diaz brother is avoid a fight with them for 15 minutes. its half sport half fight the way the rules and time limits are structured now.

hmm Rory Macdonald would probably argue otherwise

hmmmm go back and watch the fight. that comment right there just proved to me you dont know a whole lot. all macdonald did was avoid the fight, watch it again real slow. what he did was leg kick leg kick, takedown, get right back up, leg kick leg kick, takedown, get right back up, clinch for a minute, back out throw simple combo, get takedown, get right back up, leg kick, punch, takedown, get right back up, slam, slam, get right back up, leg kick leg kick, clinch, takedown, get right back up. Thats called avoiding a fight and doing nothing more than showing off mma skills. Not fighting skills. Fighters hurt there opponent, finish fights, not go through to the movement like a sport. WOW.

ya ever heard a real fighter talking about being frustrated because he wants someone to actually fight him and not just go through the movements, get takedowns then not do much, avoid the fight. ya well thats what happend in the macdonald diaz fight. rewatch it.
