Of course, it wouldn't have mattered if Sheets didn't leave the game with tightness in his groin after 5 scoreless innings and only 54 pitches. Mets weren't scoring on Sheets this afternoon. This had complete game shutout written all over it.

Yes, I had the Brewers today and yes, I'm bitter.

Of course not. But he has been throwing the ball well of late and is clearly a better alternative than Gagne, who hasn't been a big-league pitcher in over a year.

Don't have a penny of actual money on Milwaukee. I do, however, have them in a few contests I'm in contention for. Needles to say this would be a crippling loss.

Terry Francona (a pretty poor manager in his own right) learned fairly quickly last season not to put Gagne in in big spots. Only Ned Yost can make Francona look intelligent.
