People think that -200 or less should automatically mean a win. When they do win at those odds, they dont complain, but when they lose... Its "bad luck", or "that shouldnt have happened" but you have to realize -200 is not a lock... nothing near a lock...

There's nothing wrong with laying large odds, it just means you have to win them at a better clip than other games with more reasonable odds. The higher win percentage is implied in the higher odds, though.

Exactly, the reason betting high odds (-200 or less) is usually not a good idea has nothing to do with the win percentage or expected value. It has to do with the fact that people generally cannot handle a loss at chalk this heavy, causing them to go on tilt or become bitter, etc...

I must say that I have a bit of a temper, so in the future I will avoid laying heavy chalk like this
