That's not an in-depth look at the game at all. TB is at home and have proven they have a distinct advantage there. And the SP matchup is NOT even:
Sonnanstine: 3.55 FIP 4.27 xFIP .318 BAbip
Garland: 4.71 FIP 4.61 xFIP .306 BAbip
Sonnanstine is a finesse, average GB/FB pitcher
Garland is a finesse, groundball pitcher
TB OPS vs. RHP: .772
TB OPS vs. finesse pitcher: .798
TB OPS vs. groundball pitcher: .761
LAA OPS vs. RHP: .734
LAA OPS vs. finesse pitcher: .720
LAA OPS vs. average GB/FB pitcher: .783
Of course, the TB offensive numbers must be taken with a grain of salt because of no Crawford and Longoria, but that hasn't seemed to slow the TB offense recently.

losing your top two hitters hurts a lot, and thats what tb has done. yes, they won 2 of 3 in texas, rining up 14 runs in 3 games
to me, thats quite a hit

I took LAA. The one thing that may keep me from betting LAA again for the rest of the year is that they already took the division. The only thing they are playing for is the top spot and best record.

The Angels just lost their first series to an AL team since May, which is incredible. I'm a little worried that with a 15 game lead they are going to cruise a little. I know Scoscia is amazing at going one game at a time, but so is Joe Maddon and he has a LOT more to play for. I'm off the Halos until the playoffs start unless I see a really stupid number and this ain't it.

Have been using a pure numbers approach recently Ryan. Garland has a 4.03 era in his last three starts, which is decent. But Sonnanstine has a 2.33 era in his last three starts, which is very good.
The Angels have a 712 OPS in their last 7 games, while Tampa has a 779 OPS in the last 7 games.
Thought the line was fair, and I actually took it Tampa last night at -122. But I wish I would have waited and got them a lot lower today.

BJ Upton needs to seriously un-fvck himself quickly. His getting tagged out standing up at 2B was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen in a baseball game.
