Default Baseball Stretch Run Contest - Friday, 8/01/08

Starting Friday (August 1), we will start a new Baseball Stretch Run Contest, which will run until the last day of the MLB Regular Season. All prizes will be in the form of an account at BetOnline, and all prizes require a 3 time roll-over before withdrawals can be made. The prize ditribution is as follows:

First Place: $200
Second Place: $75
Third Place: $50
Last Place Boobie Prize: $25

*IMPORTANT*
All players must have an account at BetOnline prior to making picks SIGN UP Here.

Before participating, players must PM their BetOnline account ID to SBRforum Staff

1. Check in the BASEBALL HANDICAPPING FORUM each day for the daily thread to be posted by LT Profits. Lines will be posted by 1:00 p.m. (ET) each day. Plays may be posted before that, but the official posted lines will be used for grading.

2. You may select a maximum of three plays per day. There are no restrictions in regards to allowable prices for favorites and underdogs, but ONLY full-game Siides and Totals are allowed. Sorry, no first five inning, second half or Run Lines allowed.

3. All plays will be RISKING one unit for underdogs or TO WIN one unit for favorites, and while you may make multiple posts until you have up to three selections in a day, you may NOT change ANY play once posted.

4. To be eligible for the prizes, you must make a minimum of 60 plays over the duration of the contest. Also, the maximum number of allowable plays for this contest is 125. If you are at, say, 124 plays and then submit multiple plays in one post the next day, only the top play listed will count (or only the top two if you are at 123, etc.).

5, Standings will be based on total units won/lost. If there is a tie at the end of the contest for either of the top three positions or for last place, the MLB Playoffs will be used as a sudden death tiebreaker.

5a. To break ties for any of the top three spots, all tied players must make ONE selection each day that there is at least one playoff game. If at least one player wins, all players that win advance to the next day. If no one wins, all players that made a selection advance to the next day. When breaking a tie for a top three spot, a PUSH IS A LOSS!

5b. To break ties for last place, all tied players must make ONE selection each day that there is at least one playoff game. If at least one player loses, all players that lost advance to the next day. If no one loses, all players that made a selection advance to the next day. When breaking a tie for last place, a PUSH IS A WIN!

Regardless of if a tie is for a top three spot or for last place, any player that passes does NOT advance to the next day. Also, if a selection is postponed, the next day will be considered an extension of the previous day and only players that had the postponed game will make a selection.

6. Entries that are past-post will be NO ACTION. Any edited post will count as AN 0-3 DAY, regardless of how many plays were originally in the post! If you make a mistake or wish to enter a corrected line, do so in a separate post. This holds true even if the first game on the schedule did not go off yet. It does NOT hold true for posts that are not contest selections, i.e. standings, commentary posts, LT's notes to posters or congratulatory posts.
*-EXCEPTION: If someone edits a post on the last day of the competition in an attempt to get an automatic loss in order to win the Last Place prize, then the original post will stand.

7. And here’s the fine print:

• Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
• One entry per home and computer.
• Must use lines posted in daily thread by LT Profits
• Maximum three picks per day, minimum 60 plays required to be eligible for year-end prize.
• All decisions made by SBR with regards to this contest are final.
• SBR employees eligible to participate but are not eligible to win the monthly prize.

If you have not participated in contests sponsored by BetOnline in the past, the deadline for submitting your BetOnline account number is 6:00pm ET on Monday, August 11.

Cleveland
Philadelphia

could be a rough day one, but for a free contest ya gotta roll the dice out the gate...

juuso,

Only the first three plays you listed will count. Remember max of three plays per day.

OK! Sorry about that.

I missed the max plays per day part when reading the rules in a hurry.
