Hey Willie, for the 50 move max...does moving your bench players to starting and starting to bench count as a move? or does the 50 count only for free agent pickups/trades?

The 50 only counts for free agent pickups.

Trades do NOT count.

Moving players from bench to starting position does NOT count.

Is it a move to drop someone and then another move to pick someone up?

I've been offered S. Chacon & Garciaparra for Bobby Crosby. I have Peralta from Cleveland already at shortstop. Tempting. Not sure though if I trust Nomaahh's health. I may counter offer to owned.

Also been offered Pujols, Podsednik, and Westbrook for Jason Bay and Todd Helton. Pres, Westbrook doesn't help my staff much. And though Pujols is a complete fantasy stud, his numbers + Podsednik probably won't be as good as Helton + Bay since Podsednik supplies zero homers and minimal RBI's.
May counter offer.

If you counter offer, the quicker the better, because of some new things in my schedule, I will only be able to come on sporadically (but in those open hours, I'll be on) and would like to get trading done and approved before Sunday. I also have Nomar, Chacon, etc. all in various trade offers across the league.

No moves to DROP, only when you ADD. So if you make a 1-for-2 trade and have to drop someone to get back to 25 max, no move charged against you.

You want as many active players starting on each day, and the best possible players. This way your categories can accumulate more stats.

I have these guys offered in a lot of possible trades, so if you are interested in any of these players, make me an offer:

Nomar Garciaparra
Tim Hudson
Greg Maddux
Shawn Chacon
Jae Seo

Looking for a SS and a catcher.

I'd want Chacon but like you said earlier you don't want anyone from my team either.

Date: March 30
Bad News Bums send IF N.Garciaparra, SP T.Hudson and SP G.Maddux to Texas FOG for IF F.Lopez, C B.McCann and RP S.Linebrink

Shows on my details that the trade will be reflected in lineups for Monday, Apr 3rd. But I think it will go through by Sunday judging by how the Killahs-Dodgers deal went down.

EDIT (add): onlòóker will now serve as commish on this deal. If I receive any REJECT votes on the trade, I'll forward them to him.

Willie,

This was in the rules section for "Trade Protests"

In a Public League, all managers will have two days to protest a trade to the League Office. In a Custom League, the league commissioner can set the review period to be anywhere between one and seven days.

Any chance to set the review period from 2 days to 1 day?

If everyone agrees to that, fine by me. When I originally set it, I just thought that two (2) days would be ample time for everyone to have a shot at reviewing the deal in case there were players not checking the site daily. If you're not checking it but every 3+ days, my attitude is, "Tough titty said the kitty but the milk's still good."

I don't like the idea of having trade reviews of 1 day. Arod for Felix Heredia would pass with that change.

Not a big deal if you guys want to wait 2 days, but it seems like everybody logs in daily as far as I can tell from my ongoing trade offer/talks with the different owners, so thought it would cut down on the dead period for the teams with pending trades.

If it were changed to just 1 day for trades, then I would decrease the minimum amount of votes needed to reject or hold up the trade.

I think 2 days is a good time. Enough time for everyone to have a chance, without catering to those that aren't checking in, in which case, "tough titty," or somethinorother.

2 days works for me. Question. I will have D. Erstad on my roster tomorrow but yahoo has him at 1st base when in fact the Angels are going to make him their starting center fielder. How do I play him if I can't put him in the outfield? Need to play him early in the year before he snaps a hammie.

Got another question. How do we use the Utility option on a player?

Im not positive , but I think the player needs to make a certain amount of starts at that position to qualify them for it in Fantasy.

Any batter can be used in the Utility spot. The drop down for moving players will show this.

You're right Looker. The player needs to start 5 games at that position.

..sucks for me..since I don't have a good 3rd baseman until Huff gets eligible

So after he starts in the outfield 5 times Yahoo will add OF to the possible positions he can play? As for utility, then we can have one Utility player starting in every lineup which would give you 8 position players, a pitcher and the Utility player. That way you could have some fat ass designated hitter in your lineup. Does that sound right?

Any offensive player is eligible at the UTIL position.
