Cleveland Indians +108.....Minnesota 8-2 in last 10, Cleveland 2-8 in last 10. Nearly even money w/ Byrd(3-9) vs Hernandez(8-5)? If the money ends up on Minnesota as heavy as I think it is, Cleveland 1st5 (still can't trust that bullpen) is the play for me. I realize it is very difficult to back a pitcher in P. Byrd who has accumulated a grand total of 1 Win in his last 8 starts. Hopefully Hernandez brings his flat fastball with him tomorrow and the Indians can pull this one out.

Another quietly successful pitcher is TEX starter Vicente Padilla. Padilla's #s lead me to side with the Rangers today. Overall, TEX has won 13 of his 17 appearances. On the road, it's even better. A 9-1 record in his 10 starts and 4-0 for day starts. The Rangers offense lends him plenty of support at 6.7 runs per game - best in the AL. Guthrie for BAL meanwhile sports a 1-3 day record with his team just 2-5 in those starts. He's also getting just 3.7 runs per game from his offense.
