The Pirates are a sucker's bet tomorrow. Yeah Rasner has not been amazing on the road, but Gorzelanny is awful this year. The Yanks beat him last year when he was good.

I agree with you, but just wait and see what will happen. On paper, I'd give the game to the Yanks but the Yanks currently suck even more than the Pirates! The Red Sox, Yanks, and Phillies can't win 2 games in a row at the moment! It's not my desire that the Yanks should lose on Tuesday, but unfortunately it will happen. We can't help it. I'm afraid even the Angels will lose on Tuesday.

Are you kidding me?? The yanks suck more than the Pirates... Just last week the Yanks were in like a 5 win streak tear. They ran through everything. They just hit a few bumps on the way and regrouped and you say they are worse than the Pirates..

Ok, it depends on how you see it. We don't expect the Pirates to be at the same level as the Yanks. So on a realistic basis, the Yanks CURRENTLY suck as much as the Pirates. No doubt, the Yanks are on their way to self redemption. But on Tuesday, the Pirates will have their day in the sun - despite Rasner.

LAA 2 units @-155 1 unit @ -1.5 RL+115

I hope your incorrect Willforth re; LAA its been a rough last couple days, and I have been playing on the first place teams who have been playing against the last place teams. Its all part of the ebb and flow of baseball I guess. This will be the 4th time this month I have played the Halos and I think they have scored a combined 7 runs on the days I have backed them and yet all I hear from the experts is how they may be the most complete team right now with the exception of Boston or the Cubbies

Don't worry, the Angels will win on Tuesday.
One of my best Monday bets was the Dbacks (+150) to win @ Red Sox. The Dbacks won it by 2-1. When I say the Pirates will win on Tuesday, it has nothing to do with the comparison between Rasner and Gorzelanny. It's just that the Yanks, like the Red Sox, can't win 2 games in a row at the moment (only at the moment). I maintain the Pirates (+130) will win on Tuesday. It doesn't depend on you and I. It will just happen!

BandwagonFan, I'm interested in this Twin +145. What's your reason for this pick?

I'm a bandwagon fan, and they're hot!!

In all honesty though, they are playing very well as of late winning 8 of their last 9. They're averaging over 10 hits and almost 7 runs per game in that span.

Also, historically Twins have been a good interleague teams. I believe they're 9 and 3 in interleague play this season and in the top 5 for all time interleague win percent.

Yes, I know that they are facing Peavy but he has not been as dominant this year...especially his last five starts.

small play on the Twins.

Last night at sports.com.. It went down to +105 now. Sometimes you got to get them as soon as they go up at night because the numbers are sometimes over exxagerated...

I like the Reds, O's, and Royals tonite!! The Reds are a great value here vs a cold Jays team. I will probably wait to see who plays for the Reds on the turf (Jr.'s age, Keppinger's knee) but overall they hit hard throwers like Burnett more than junkballers. Adam Dunn should have some intense ABs after what the Toronto GM said about him...may fire the whole team up! Not impressed w/Marshall from the Cubs and I expect a letdown after sweeping the White Sox. The O's have been pretty good interleague and should be fired up to play in Wrigley...i.e...like the Reds were to play in Yankee Stadium! I would think the line would move up closer to game time? The Royals Greinke has been red hot and they're swinging the bats pretty well. Rockies have been cold all year!
