Default Two-team parlay of the day

I'm starting my thread on my two-team parlay of the day. There are reasons to be discouraged about parlays just as there are reasons why they make sense. It's all a matter of choice based on what works best for you. Let's see how this goes.

Friday June 13

Dodgers@Tigers? Wao!. The Tigers will devour the Dodgers. The Dodgers can't dodge defeat today.

Braves@Angels: There's nothing wrong to say about the Angels. They're living up to their name - Angels. While the Braves are capable of an upset, they're not brave enough to do that in the first game of this series.

Angels/Tigers

$100 to win $203

Thanks, Clueless_Norway.
Having assessed all the games today and stats match-ups, I think the Angels and Tigers have the easiest games.
I also contemplated Cardinals/White Sox, but the Phillies can do anything on their day and White Sox can disappoint big time. So I'm sticking to what I've proposed.

I like the Rockies better than the White Sox... White Sox cant hit lefties with a .210 avg and a low 2.52 R/9. Also Francis have been good L3 games with a 3.00 ERA in 18 IP and one of them was at Wrigley Field where he gave up just 3 runs... The Rockies pen have been good too with a 1.04 ERA in 17.1 IP L3 games.
I think that the Rockies have got a big boost from Holliday's return and that they got a good shot on continue too picking up wins and move closer too struggling D'Backs..

Might place a smal bet on the Rockies today..

Two teamers are the only correct way to go mathematically for +EV combined with a little money management.
You can turn a profit by picking 1 winner in any sequence of 8 parlays meaning pick just 12% winners and still make money.

first wager = base bet if lose BBx2, if lose BBx3 if lose base bet x 5 if loselose base bet x 8, if lose base bet x 12 if lose BB x 18 if lose BB x 25. If you go 0-8 this sum should only be 1 25% block of your total BR.
I think we can expect to pick at least 30% winners with all the info available on this board.

Very solid parlay sir. Any home AL team today except for CWS is golden IMO

I also like Astros. The Yankees have also been overrated by the bookmakers. While Chamberlain has the better ERA, not much separates the Yankees from the Astros. Having lost to the Brewers yesterday, I expect the Astros to bounce back today on home ground.
I might consider a small play on Cardinals/Astros.

It might look solid on paper, but you need luck still.

Im on the Astros.. It's worth a shoot with Joba on the mound an Astros at home.
Don't think Joba can go deeper than 4 innings today and the Yanks bullpen have been struggling a bit this season, so...

I don't like the Cardinals. It might be cause im a Phillies fan, but Phillies is hard to predicte...
They can have an outstanding day or they can have a realy bad day... That and the fact that im a Phillies fan I almost never play on the Phillies games..

I like the Angels a lot. I think the Tigers are good, but I generally don't like to fade former great pitchers like Derek Lowe because they can show flashes of greatness at any time. And the Tigers have a terrible bullpen, so even a crap offense like the Dodgers could get some hits.

Saturday June 14

Yesterday: 0-1 -$100
The Angels did me in.

Athletics@Giants: I'd take Harden any day against the Giants. The Athletics should continue from where they left off yesterday.

Rangers@Mets: These teams are ripe for the OVER. My lean is for Texas to win but the OVER looks the better proposition.

So my parlay today is:

Athletics/Rangers-Mets OVER 9.5

$100 to win $213

hmm, now dis Parlay I like. Last nights one with St. Louis I couldn't back that one with you. Well, I usually do like 4 or 5 team parlays and are usually successfull. I just pick the 4 or 5 of my best picks. Here are some of my picks. See how they play out tomorrow:

Oakland money line over San Francisco
Toronto money line over the Cubs
Toronto/Cubs under 8
Milwakeee -1.5 point spread over Minnesota
Seattle money line win over the Nationals
Angels money line over the Braves
Arizona money line over the Royals
Rangers/Mets over 9
Astros/Yankees under 9.5
Red Sox +1.5 plus money over the Reds
Phillies/Cards over 9.5

Phillies/Cards over 9.5
The way I see it, one could easily make combinations of 4-team parlays from today's games. This, for instance:
Angels ML
Toronto/Cubs under 8
Rangers/Mets over 9.5
Seatle ML.

But we don't own the game. So we get surprises everyday. So I'm keeping to my 2-team parlay.
I fear the Phillies' game might surprisingly go UNDER. In sports, impossible is nothing!!!

Hmm, dats why I say I pick my best 4 or 5 and play dem in like 3 different variations. I'm kinding backtracking on dat Angels game though. I'm not really familiar wid the Braves picture and will keep dat one off my bets for now.I will sub it wid an Indians money line win at home backing Lee. Everything else looks ok. Let's see.

I think one will go for more realistic outcomes tomorrow. Realistic? I mean realizable upsets. I had it mind to play Cubs +142 but let it pass. Now I'm regretting. For tomorrow, I'll look into these:

Texas +140
Rockies +135
Nationals +115
Padres +145

I had the Halos on the ML yesterday. I was prepared to play a series chase so I took the profits I made on Philly and Chisox ML and bet the overnight line on LAA @ -160 to win 2 units today. I really like E. San @ home.

Mets game PPD.

I'll be lurking/commenting/rooting for this thread now that Saint has hung up the cleats until the All Star break.

Sunday June 15

Yesterday: 1-0 +$80 YTD: 1-1 -$20
The rains wouldn't allow the Tampa Bay game so only the Athletics game went through. A return of $80 on $100 is better than nothing.

Cubs@Blue Jays: Don't be deceived by yesterday's Cub's heroics. This team is vulnerable on the road. The Blue Jays will bounce back today with Litsch on the mound. Litsch will lynch Lilly and the Cubs!

Dodgers@Tigers: If there's one game to bet on, it's this one. The Tiger's will continue with their good work and devour the Dodgers. Taking the Tigers' run line won't be much of a risk but I'm ok with the money line.

So my parlay today is:

Blue Jays/Tigers

$100 to win $236

Sunday June 15

I'll let the Blue Jays/Tigers games pass.
My lean now is the Brewers and Dbacks. I expect them to bounce back today. They don't look like the best bets of the day, but that's exactly why they'll work.
So my parlay today is:

Brewers/Dbacks

$100 to win $204

I like your diamondbacks play but the Brewers play I don't know. I would rather take the Orioles over the Brewers in the parlay. I have "0" confidence in Pittsburgh and I only thought game 2 was the only game in which they could have stolen a win..

Here are my bets which I will vary them in parlays:

Cubs +1.5 underdogs
Braves +1.5 underdogs
Padres +1.5 underdogs
Red Sox money line
Rockies vs WS under 8.5
Orioles money line
Dodgers vs Tigers over 9.5
Cubs vs Blue Jays under 8.5
Mets vs Rangers over 9 Game 1
San Francisco +1.5 underdogs
Arizona money line
Yanks money line

I like the Orioles as well, but it looks such a sure win for the Orioles. When things look "too sure" you have to be careful with them. Otherwise, your picks look excellent.

Man, u were right about my Orioles. They bit the dust but they almost had that game. Came back and tied it in the bottom of the ninth down by 2 points. If the Orioles or the Pirates were picked in all 3 games you could have still won 2 out of 3. Will be back wid todays picks..

Today, I'm gonna mix deez up in a parlay:

red sox vs phillies over 9
Marlins -1.5 point spread
Marlins over 9
San Francisco money line

Monday June 16

Yesterday: 0-1 YTD: 1-2

Red Sox@Phillies: Except for a major upset, the Phillies habe this for the taking.

Braves@Rockies: Whatever the stats of the starter pitchers may be, I don't fancy the Braves with a road record of 9-25. The Angels' problems made the Braves look better than they are. I'll side with the home team.

Phillies/Rockies

$100 to win $196

With the problems the Angels are having you could as well go with Metz +130.
Red Sox/Phillies OVER 9 is pure gambling. You never no how things will turn out at there.

Hmm, I don't like ur picks at all today for the parlay. I would rather go:

San Fran ML/Florida over 9

Those rockies I don't trust them at home or away and I wouldn't put the phillies against the red hot red sox in a parlay so easily. I pick the over 9 on the phillies/sox because of 2 heavy hitting teams, 1st game of series and uncertainty of colon against a heavy hitting team. I think the Phillies may tag him early and it will be lights out. Boston tops out at 9 runs and Phillies can go beyond the stars. I think I'm pretty safe with that bet.. I also don't trust the Mets coming off of 2 games in one night and having another game the next day. I think that is tiresome and don't know if they will have enough energy to make it in the later innings. Will lay off that game although I think it will go under 8.5. That's how I would bet it...

Good luck, I think you'll need it on this one..

Jonnymapalo,

The obviously good picks seem not to be working for me. Yesterday, I picked Brewers/Dbacks and the Dbacks appeared the better pick but see what happened? The Rockies aren't the best pick of the lot but that's exactly why I'd go with them. I'll consider the OVER in the Phillies and Marlins games though.

Hmm, you shoulda went with the Phillies/Sox over 9. Could have been an even worse massacre.. The Rockies are getting rocked. Why did u pick them is beyond me?? Never in my wildest dreams would I put my money on the Pirates or Rockies..
