Starting Sunday (June 1), we will start a new June Baseball Underdog of the Day Contest with a prize of $200 account at DSI, 3 time roll-over. Last place will receive a $25 DSI account with a 3 time roll over. If there is a tie for last place in both units and wins (20 plays minimum), there will be be multiple last place boobie prizes.
*IMPORTANT* All players must have an account at DSI prior to making picks SIGN UP Here. Before participating, players must PM their Diamond Sports International account ID to SBRforum Staff 1. Check in the BASEBALL HANDICAPPING FORUM each day for the daily thread to be posted by LT Profits. Lines will be posted by 1:00 p.m. (ET) each day. Plays may be posted before that, but the official posted lines will be used for grading. 2. Only the UNDERDOGS in games posted by LT will be eligible for selection, which will be only games that have underdog prices of greater than +110. 3. All plays will be RISKING one unit, and selections may NOT be changed once posted. 4. Here’s the catch: Your play must include a write-up! The write-up does not have to be long, just a sentence or two (or more) about why you are making your play. 5. Entries that are past-post or do not have analysis will be NO ACTION. Any edited post will count as a LOSS! If you make a mistake, need to add analysis or wish to enter a corrected line, do so in a separate post. This holds true even if the first game on the schedule did not go off yet. It also holds true for past-posts and entries with no analysis. It does NOT hold true for posts that are not contest selections, i.e. standings, commentary posts, LT's notes to posters or congratulatory posts. *-EXCEPTION: If someone edits a post on the last day of the competition in an attempt to get an automatic loss in order to win the Last Place prize, then the original post will stand. 6. And here’s the fine print: • Must be 18 years of age or older to participate. • One entry per home and computer. • Must use lines posted in daily thread by LT Profits • Maximum one underdog pick per day, minimum 20 underdog plays required to be eligible for monthly prize. • Tiebreaker for first place is total WINS. If still tied, combatants will carry on a head-to-head underdog match until winner is determined. This would begin on the first day of next month with no passes allowed. If co-leader passes during tie-breaking period, he or she is eliminated, even if other co-lealers lose. • All decisions made by SBR with regards to this contest are final. • SBR employees eligible to participate but are not eligible to win the monthly prize. The deadline for entering plays in the contest and still being eligible for prizes is TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 11.

BOT,
His one loss came on a day when I started a thread about him asking if he planned on losing any games this month. Maybe I should jinx him again with another thread?

ORIOLES +187: Cabrera will be anxious to make amends after having his worst start of the season last time out, when he allowed six runs and eight hits in six innings vs. Minnesota. However, that marked only the second time in his last 10 starts that he allowed more than three runs in a game, and he only allowed four runs in the other game, so I think he bounces back here. He has allowed three runs or less in each of his last six starts vs. the Red Sox. Beckett’s ERA is still rather high at 4.07, and besides being without Ortiz, Boston will probably also be without Ellsbury tonight.

#967 Bal +187 : only 1 home doggie on the board and i don't like it, so i'm going with the "Oh No O's", Cabrera can't beat Bos. to save his life, but the public is strong on Bean town, so i'll take my shot for a miracle.

Milwaukee +135
Oswalt and the Astros have struggled of late. The team has won only 3 of its last 12, and Hou has lost its last 4 when Oswalt takes the mound. They were swept by Milwaukee the end of May, outscored 19-3. Brewer's McClung is coming off a nice 6 innings, allowing only 1 run in a win vs. AZ. The price is right. Milwaukee +135 |

Cardinals are 4-0 in their last 4 when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game. Reds are 1-4 in their last 5 after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game. |

Don't feel real high on this game especially since Boston beat the Orioles 3 out of 4 last week in Baltimore, but they are my systems highest number tonight, so, I'm taking them anyway. |

Tue 6/10 971 Minnesota Twins +165
The Twins are in a bit of a funk but looking at the standings they are 2 games ahead of the Indians in the AL Central. Cleveland is only .500 at the Jake at this point of the season so they are not unbeatable there. The Indians are also not really tearing the cover off the ball, in their last 3 games they are 1-2 and they are only hitting .196. I'll take the +165 with the Twins here. |

Basically going against Toronto who seem to be struggling at this point. Seattle team is much better than their record indicates and should win this game where both pitchers are struggling. |

I think it'll be a low scoring game which, of course will keep the Twins in it. In the AL Central, anybody can beat anybody at any time. |

Nationals +140 Tim Redding goes for his seventh win and his third win in his last five starts The Nationals took three of four games from the Pirates in Washington in May. Let's make it four of five.
