Vicente Padilla left the Rangers on Sunday and went home to Nicaragua to attend to what manager Ron Washington termed "a family personal matter."
The Rangers have already pushed Padilla's start back from Monday to Tuesday, with Doug Mathis moving up a day. The hope is that Padilla will be ready then, but if he's not, the team will call up A.J. Murray to start.
