Default Unde0087 MLB 2008

Wednesday we hit Yanks +125, and Halladay blows it late for a 1-1 day.

3 pack today:

Mets RL (Perez) +115
Blue Jays (McGowan) -101
Giants (Lincecum) +120

Mets
Going to back Perez on the run line today. Perez has started 2-0 and I expect the Mets bats to do some major damage against Hill who is comes in with over a 7 era. Could be another long night for the Nats in this one.

Blue Jays
McGowan is the better of the two pitchers and I look for Toronto to get a win when they face Sonnanstine who is 2-1 but has shown that he can be hit hard sporting a 5.55 era coming in. I look for this Blue Jays lineup to wake up today and give the Devil Rays some trouble.

Giants
Lincecum has been unreal this season so far. He comes in with 3-0 with a 1.57 era. We have seen what good pitching can do to this San Diego lineup. I like Giants getting plus money with their ace on the hill.

Tough night as I catch the Giants in plus money but lose on Mets and Toronto for the 1-2 thursday.

Today:

Yankees/Indians over 9.5

I really like the over in this game. I got this at 9.5 last night and it has moved to 10 now. The Indians are 9-1 in the over in series openers. The over is 7-2-1 in the last 10 when Byrd is pitching at home and the over is a 9-3-1 tear when these teams have met in the last 13. Play the over.

On second glance I am adding:

Toronto (Burnett) -102

Toronto
I come once again with the Blue Jays as AJ Burnett is on the mound today. He flat out has dominated the Royals of late. Burnett saw the Royals twice last season and in those starts only gave up 2 runs on 6 hits in 14 innings of work. Greinke for the Royals has started his season nicely but he struggled in his last appearance against the A's. I like Burnett to continue has dominance over the Royals and help Toronto get out of this losing streak.

Friday is a 1-1 split, Saturday I have only 1 play:

Red Sox (Buchholz) -137

The Sox have been hitting a crap out of the ball lately. Ortiz has finally got his bat going and that is only trouble for the other team. Now Red Sox send Buchholz to the mound and I will back him against Tampa Bay.

Well 0-1 Sunday and I am glad that week is over as I struggled to say the least since wednesday 3-5. Today:

Yanks/Indians under 10

The under is 7-2 in the Indians last nine, and 4-0 in Laffey’s last four starts and 5-1 in their last six when hosting the Yanks.

1-0 Monday. I have two plays for Tuesday:

White Sox (Floyd)
Toronto/Boston under 9.5

White Sox
Floyd is on the mound for the Sox today and he has pitched well at 2-0 with a 2.84 era. On the other hand you have Bonser coming into this game with a 1-4 record to start the season with a 4.34 era. Now the White Sox have done well on the road this season sitting on a 7-4 record. I will back the Sox here as I think their bats will give Floyd enough support.

Toronto/Boston under
The under is 4-1 in Halladay's first 5 games pitched this season. In those games, Halladay has pitched on the road 3 times and the under has been the play in all of those games. For Lester the under is 7-1 in the last 8 counting last season and is 3-0 in the under at home this season. Play the under.

Good Luck
Like the U8.5 in the Cards game. Don't know about the U in the Sox game, but they got shut-out yesterday so I'm leaning on it too.
My prediction is a 4-2 Rays win

1-1 Split yesterday. Love the play today:

Tampa Bay/Boston under 8
The under is on good runs for both these teams. And in the last 4 series meetings between these teams the over has only been the play in one of those games. Both aces are on the mound for their respective teams today. I see this being another low scoring game. 3-1 final. Play the under.

Lost on the under in the Tampa Bay/Boston game as both aces got rocked. But today I comeback to that series again:

Tampa Bay/Boston under 9
Mets (Santana) -125

Tampa Bay/Boston under
The under has been played 6 out of 7 times when Lester takes the mound this season and 4 out of 5 when he faces Tampa Bay in Boston. Also, the under has been played in 7 of 10 when Kazmir faces the Red Sox. The under is also 7-1-1 in Kazmir's starts against winning teams in the last 9 games.

Mets
Great price on Santana today as Mets try to get a win against the D'Backs. I said earlier this season that if I ever get this good of a price on Santana I will take it every time. He is one of the best pitchers in baseball. Santana is 3-1 on the road with a 2.57 era and the Mets have won in his last 3 starts. Haren has been impressive at home this season but Santana has pitched against the D'Backs two games before today (both with the Twins) has he only allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 16 innings of work. That my friends is domination. I think Santana once again shuts down this lineup and Mets win this game.

GL All!

Well Sunday we had 2 rainouts but went 3-1 on the other 4. I really liked the card for Sunday.

I am scaling back my baseball picks. The start to the 2008 baseball season hasn't been one to write home about. I will have some days like Sunday where I have numerous picks but I won't have a pick everyday. As I have been lighting up the NBA playoffs. I had no plays for Monday and I will not have a play for tonight.

Good luck today for all the baseball bettors, see you back here tomorrow
