The Big Unit Baseball Handicapping Contest
Rules:
All Players must have signed up for an account at 5Dimes: Sign-up here
Players must PM their 5Dimes account ID to SBRforum Staff
Contest begins April 1 and ends April 30th. In order to enter the contest, player must signup for an account at 5Dimes. In the event of website downtime, the contest will not be altered. Each player is responsible for posting the minimum plays per month; SBR not responsible for internet down time, meteors striking the earth, dog ate your mouse cord, etc, etc, etc.
Players will make plays from the posted moneylines and totals. No run-lines.
Each selection will be to either win 1 unit (favorites) or a 1 unit risk (dogs) You may make up to three 1 unit selections per day.
ex:
a -170 win would result in +1.00
a -170 loss would result in -1.70
a +170 win would result in +1.70
a +170 loss would result in -1.00
The maximum number of 1 unit selections you are eligible to make is 60
minimum number of 1 unit selections you must make is 30 to be eligible for contest prizes.
ANY AND ALL POSTS THAT ARE EDITED WILL BE SCORED AS THREE PLAYS, MINUS-3.0 UNITS FOR THAT PLAYER AND THAT DAY. You are also eliminated from winning the boobie prize if you lose units for edited plays. ANY PAST POSTS SHALL BE SCORED NO PLAYS. The official start time of the game will be listed, and plays may not be entered for that game after posted time, regardless of rain delays, technical delays at site, etc.
One entry per computer
Must use the lines posted in the daily thread.
All decisions made by SBR with regard to this contest are final
SBR employees and their families are not eligible to win prizes
Prize money carries a 3 time rollover before it is withdrawable (example: $50 cash account must be wagered through 3 times for a total of $150 risked).
April Prizes: 1st: $200 cash in account
2nd: $150 cash in account
3rd: $100 cash in account
4th $75 cash in account
5th $50 cash in account
6th $50 cash in account
7th $25 cash in account
8th $25 cash in account
9th $25 cash in account
10th $25 cash in account
Even the biggest losers have a chance to win. We will be awarding prizes to the top as well as the last place finishers.
