Default The Kid's Official "Take The Mets When Johan Santana Pitches" Thread

Johan Santana is the best pitcher in baseball and he has a very potent offense backing him. Starting now and going through the end of the regular season, I will be wagering on the Mets RL whenever Santana is scheduled to start. Even if the Mets can't manage to score a lot, Santana will keep them in the game, or shut out the opponent with his arm.

I will officially start keeping track of my record tomorrow. I did bet the RL for the Mets on opening day, but that will not count. This is not an experiment or anything like that. It is just something I'd like to keep track of for fun. Anyone is welcome to follow, and I am open to any opinions or comments.

Good luck the rest of the MLB season.

I think this is a terrible idea because you will never get any value with Santana pitching. It is better to follow pitchers that are underrated by the oddsmakers than the marquee studs that everybody knows about. Then again, I am more of a bullpen guy anyway.

I'll take that bet every single time.

Horrible start. We'll get'em next time. Mets offense just didn't show up today.

Santana kept them in the game, but the offense was just dead.

Record: 0-1 [-1.0 units]

You really should try the "fade santana on the road".

Just cus they are an Ace, doesnt mean jack.

This type of system will show no/loss profit over enough plays

BOT, it's for fun. Don't take it so seriously. It's not a system either.

Sorry Kid, thought you were trying it as a system. And taking an Ace every time out, will get you buried. Trying to say your money
Good luck bud

Take Santana Part 2. Sheets vs. Santana. I'm feeling a pitcher's duel.

I very nearly pulled the trigger on Milwaukee +133. Brew Crew has a 50-50 chance of winning today in my opinion. Sheets has been statistically more impressive than Santana so far this year and Brewers have the better line-up and hitting stats. Dog betters who scatter multiple plays in one day ought to gobble up the Brewers in this spot./
