BTW I've always liked the Bluejays...back as far as the mid 80's Dave Stieb days ...they're getting close with all the signings the past couple of years...it would be nice to have some new blood at the top of the east...

Dave Stieb, Jimmy Key, Jesse Barfield, George Bell, Tony Fernandez....the heroes of my childhood.....I loved Dave Stieb he got a bad rap for being so intense but the guy was a gamer. He hated losing and I love that in a pro ball player.
IF they can stay healthy and IF McGowan, Litsch and Marcum can be consistent and get deep into some games I think they have a shot at a wildcard. I like their lineup, I am a little worried about Eckstein playing short but I think 1 through 9 they matchup with almost every team except the Tigers in terms of talent. The starting pitching worries me, but once Ryan is back and IF he is healthy, I think they have a Top 3 AL Pen.
Alot of big IF's there though.

Goddamn it.
Note to self: Never bet against the Dodgers at home vs lefthanded pitchers.

Got pretty lucky with the LA/SF under too. Thought LA was going to score 9 by themselves after the 2nd.

1-2 today. Lost a couple close ones that could have went the other way and hit the total on LAA/Minny, which was actually pretty lucky considering the strong performances of the starters.
-.98 units on the day
No worries. Getting started on tomorrows picks.

Houston had their chances to win that game. They got their lead-off man on in three straight innings. Of course, Chris Young then locked them down. I can't wait for Young's next home start. He is a tower of doom.

Hey Saint....I figured I might get one break out of my two ML plays today but no cheese. It was close. Toronto didnt capitalize on a couple chances and Chris Young was just nasty. Seems I have slightly overrated the Stros offense (or underrated the Padres pitching, if thats possible). 9 times out of 10 I would make the same two plays again, either game could have went the other way.
Glad to see you hit.

Surprised you're not taking AJ against the aging and unsteady Mussina. If I had balls I would, but I know you said earlier he would be shaky in NY so I am going to take you at your word.

I cant get a good read on tomorrows game. I know Mussina has always really given the Jays trouble, and despite the fact that Burnett had a nice start last time out at YS I cant pull the trigger. Mussina is aging but he has always seemed to stymie the Jays.

Tampa Bay/Baltimore total.....Cabrera and Garza have bothed fared well against the opposition. Cabrera had a good spring and I think he can rebound from a horrible year. Garza is solid. Both of these pitchers are underrated, but bought the hook because of the poor pens on both clubs. I like one of these pitchers to lock down the other team and keep the total under.
Chicago.....ML play based on Carmonas struggles against the White Sox and Vasquez has had pretty good success against the Indians. I think the Sox are a little undervalued this year and hoping to hop on some value early here.
San Francisco....Lincecum, Lincecum, Lincecum. Dominant against the Dodgers. Like a strikeout pitcher at Dodgers Stadium every time. Billingsley is a nice pitcher but Lincecum is better and Chads numbers against the Giants arent exactly great. Why did I play an even runline you ask? Because I think the Giants offense stinks so bad they might just lose 1-0. I like the value here at -110 only because I look at the Giants lineup and wonder how they score at all.
