Girardi is the new Yankees manager
I think he'll be better than Mattingly would have been. Donnie seems a little dumb to me. I also read that the Dodgers are talking to Torre.

I think he was the best option they had. Now only time will tell if he can get it done or not.

I agree it's the right call. Yankees don't need a figurehead from the Joe Torre staff, they need a manager.
