Arrow Roger Clemens -240

So how many of you Yankees fans are going to be backing the Rocket here in his first start of the season?

Default How well you guys think Clemens will do tomorrow?

Roger Clemens is one of my favorite pitchers, I won alot of money off of him in hes career, tomorrow he's -240, the -1.5 line should be around -100 or even.....I'm planning to put my money on him but which way should i go?...

I'm leaning toward playing the over at 9.5. Maholm is horrible and the Yanks have been raking against lefties in their last 10. Couple that with Clemens being lucky if he lasts 5-6 innings and the Bucs should get a shot at the Yanks pen again. I think the over is pretty solid.

I actually like the Pirates in this game plus that nice price.

Just because it's Clemens doesn't mean I'm gonna give a 44 year old man making his first start of the year the respect like the bookmakers are. This line seems a bit inflated to me even despite the Yankees bats starting to heat up. Hell, he'll probably only throw about 5 or 6 innings in this game with that "fatigued groin" of his, then it's up to that Yankees pen to do the rest.

yankees are hot right now. do you really want to bet against the rocket? it is a sure win for the yankees, but i am not sure about RL. i put some money on seattle -1 1/2 last night...still pissed about it. i guess i was too greedy because seattle ML was already plus money.

You guys have to remember that he's admitted a few days ago in one of the papers that he's still only pitching at like 80%.

Tough but fascinating game to cap.

I have to like the Yanks here, although it is very treacherous, because of the huge line, and because Rivera has gone 3 and 2/3 innings the last 2 days. Still, I like Bruney, Myers, Proctor and Farnsworth way way better than Pittsburgh's awful (and overused to boot) crew. Even if Clemens is not sharp, which I expect him not to be, it won't be easy for Pittsburgh to maintain a lead the whole game.

As for the total, I guess you also have to like the over. Gorman is the home plate ump, but the pitching for this game is suspect all around.

Tough game, but that's my take.

Capps appealed, he is in for the weekend, he went yesterday in fact. But he has gone 2 days in a row, he could be vulnerable here if it comes down to it.

Hope Clemens pitches well, don't think he will, and as much as I would like to take 5-2 with Maholm, I think the Pirates may need to score double digits to win. Over.
