Default Never posted my picks before...but here I go for the thursday matinee games.

Well I don't normally like advertising my picks, however I'm in a decent mood right now after picking up some solid games tonight. So below I'll list the games and my analysis underneath all laying 1 unit.

Marlins +115

I'm liking the Marlins here in this spot with Mitre on the mound pitching at home against a lackluster Lowe. Lowe can either be lights out or garbage. Tomorrow I'm gonna go with a little of the in between. I suspect this game to be rather close the whole way through, however with the pesky, young Marlin hitters I like them in this spot to take the series.

Padres/Atlanta Under 8

Now Hudson has like the second lowest ERA in the NL and has just really gotten back to the form we were accustomed to seeing in Oakland. Wells, well he is so/so, however I do believe he has the potential to pitch up to his opponents level. Wells is a savvy veteran and has the ability to mix it up and get out batters. All these things parlayed with the fact that SD's batting order is very lackluster combined with Hudson's ability makes me see this as an Atlanta 5-1 victory.

Tigers/Mariners over 9.5

Ok as many of you had seen last Saturday Weaver pitched brilliantly against the Yankees putting together a stellar performance to basically save his job. Let's factor in a couple things there though, 1) He was pitching to save his job. 2) He was pitching against his former team the Yankees out to prove something and 3) He was pitching under the microscope of a nationally televised game with a chip on his shoulder. Ok now let's fast track to tomorrow. Tomorrow is a meaningless day game against a powerful and hot Tigers ball club. Just as Igawa blew up in his next start after pitching shutout ball against the Sox's unexpectedly, I expect the same for Weaver. I see the Tigers going away with this one tomorrow in the fashion of something like 8-4.

Hopefully I'll do well with these games tomorrow and I'll be really able to put some good change on a night game.
Please guys feel free to rip apart or agree with any of my picks/analysis of some of the early afternoon games tomorrow.

Well boys we go 2-0-1 for the afternoon! Let me just say none of it came easy at all!! But hey doesn't matter if you win the game easily or win it in a close one at the end of the day the payout still remain the same. If you were lucky enough to bet the Marlins today I hope you got the play in at the morning because boy did they Marlins run to a decent dog, unlucky for me I dind't get them at much of a dog. A nice little 3 run walk off in the end cashes our ticket, Grady Little is a terrible manager stretching Lowe into the 9th, should of just went to the bullpen and played for extras. Let's move to the Braves game here, In the 6th if Wells can work out of that jam or at least not give up a bases clearing double we cash that ticket. Some sites had this number up to 8.5, however I got it at 8. Will take the push though as it was unlikely at a point to even get that. I do believe I was correct on my Wells prediction, one bad pitch screwed up his line though, however for a couple innings he didn't allow a hit. And lastly let me just say Weaver is garbage and even though this game went over late it should of been over a lot sooner. Mariners stranded bases loaded in the first and then stranded 2nd and 3rd one out in the 6th. Once again will take it though as i look to play one of the 3 baseball games on the board tonight.
