I am doing the same thing with Florida. I'm going to try a chase system and increase bet size after a loss. The Marlins longest losing streak of last season was only 4 games.

Congrats Frozen on a nice start. I'm curious to follow this thread all season long. We get a lot of the Marlins games here in the Tampa area on FSN. Do you only bet on the Marlins or will you bet against them occasionally? Also do you play every Marlins game?

i bet every marlins game, either ML/RL/ or O/U for either the fish or who they play. i mostly base everything off of trends, pitching research, and past performances. like i said i did this last year and ended up about a g in the end. i started with $10 a game and as the season progressed it increased, but in that time i did have some modest losing streaks (4-5 games) but i never ended up below .500( -units) in my picks for a month, though 1 month i was hovering just above the red......

today we see MR 1997 WORLD SERIES MVP LIVAN HERNANDEZ go against MR 2009 CY YOUNG WINNER RICKY NOLASCO, where nolasco is already getting hsi 2nd start cause the fish are usign a 4 man rotation at the moment. the pen stunk yesterday and tried to give the game away so they will wana bounce back today if they get the chance. the mets have hit ricky decently and he's 2-6 all time vs him with an era over 6 vs the mets, while the fish though many have not hit him, they have faired decently vs livan.
the fish will most likely be without lidrstrom tonight if they need the game closed out given hes throwin over 55 pitches total in 2 of the last 3 days, plus he's been kinda shakey, for the 2 innings he's come in for. livan is makign his debut and even last year he can be off and on and rather unpredictable
with all that said, i think we can get it done again today but its gonna be close and like yesterday will most likely come down to our pen.

I know this is late but FLA doesn't do well against slow throwing junkballers (see J Moyer)

As some of you know I'm a Marlins homer and I'm not a big fan of RL's but tommorow is the day to take a serious look at ATL -1.5 (+115)

Andrew Miller has potential but he is awful right now and has no business not being in AA.

A. they blow vs slow shit like livan and moyer cause its young kids and no patience and
B. miller is solid dude, and once he fully commits to that new delivery=WATCH OUT

that game is not gonna be a romp tomorrow, miller has pitched very well against the braves in his few big league starts, plus the ground ball pitching of lowe combines to give us a good UNDER for tomorow at first glance

nobody gives any love to andrew miller, which at times he deserves but this is a new pitcher this year. in the offseason he chnages his mechanics and this should gretaly lessen his walks by slightly chnaging his arm angles and furthering his delivery. with this said i wanted to take the UNDER 9 but it dropped to 8.5 so i said what the heck, fish ml based soley on 2 things.

1) lowe is a ground ball pitcher and with our speed i think we can use that to our advantage though for most teams that means death. also lowe is 4-3 with a 4.59 ERA in eight career starts against the Marlins. During his only outing against them last year, he allowed 6 runs, 3 earned and 8 hits in five innings.

2) MILLER HAS EXCELLED VS HOTLANTA: he's 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA in four career games against the Braves, all coming last year

miller was surprisingly good for 4 innings, but after we took that 4-1 lead he showed his problems, but luckily he got out of it with letting em only tie and then our pen shut the door, meyer looked real good

Miller was his usual self. Got out of some big jams too. I'll be fading him all year until the FO has had enough of him.
