yea this is the one time I agree with you but that Kazmir gives up too many homeruns for my likings. White Sox are a homerun team and I feel Kazmir may play right into their hands. Buerle is thrash in my opinion though..

i'm leaning rays, and think they are a way better ball club....

but what scares me about today, is kazmir's propensity to give up the long ball...and we all know the only way the sox win is.............the long ball.

Kazmir gave up 15 hr's in august and September in 57 innings. Or one every 3.8 innings. He also walked 35 in those 57 innings. Not a good combination

Now the sox hadn't been going long all that much in September especially a very under-rated jermaine Dye who has been a picture of consistency during his time with the sox. Now I don't beleive in betting on teams or players because they are "due" but it can be enough to keep me away from a bet. When I cap a game I look at home/away ect I look in depth at as many stats and trends, then try to tie in the intangibles, motivations ect. Then I try to map out what the game might look like in a few ways.

In my head I keep coming back to seeing the sox getting a couple early blasts of kazmir, by guys like Dye, ramirez, and an unlikely guy like uribe. I see burhle as the bulldog type pitcher that can bear down, use experience and brains and laser like focus to keep the hitters off balance and shut down a team. especially with a lead.

with all that said, I think i'm still gonna make a small play on the Rays, no where near as big as I thought i would have last night or this morning.
I feel I may be sweating it out.
over 162 games, i'd take this rays team at home almost every time.. I'm just nervous about 24 year old long ball kazmir tonight.

they have such a good pen that if kaz isnt good, they have other guys like price et al to bring in

i agree with what you said but chisox are bad away from home, and tb doesnt lose at home

thats why im betting it, but its no huge play, like you said

I just saw a trend somewhere, that said rays are 23-2 at home with a crowd of over 30,000 lol... man Tampa does not deserve this young exciting team
