So, when Javier Vazquez is set to start a key AL Central game late in the season, Ozzie Guillen says he is not a big game pitcher. He proceeds to get knocked out in that game and again against Cleveland.

Now Ozzie, with no other choice really, starts Javier in the 1st game of the ALDS series...

What can one really expect from this guy? The earlier bad mouthing sure didn't raise his game.

First of all the Sox did have another choice. People dont like to believe it but Ozzie knows how to manage. Javier got beat up last game in a big game after Ozzies speech. Then Ozzie puts him out here today instead of his other option (Clayton Richard who dominated in NY two weeks ago), why would he do that? I think that Javier comes out today and dominates. Ozzie knows what he's doing.

Ill take your word for dominate because I didn't see the game, but 2 runs and 5 hits in 6.2 doesn't scream out dominate to me.

I believe if Ozzie felt he had another viable option he'd be using it right about now.

It doesnt matter how much or how little a baseball team loses by in terms of better. All that matters is who won.

Also you bet the twins tuesday because they were a value play getting the odds they were getting right???? Now if you CLAIM that is your logic for betting baseball how can you not say that the value play for this game is the Sox +160?

My problem with taking the Rays with this chalk is lack of playoff experience, you never know if a team can raise its level of play.

a)They are good, they are in the playoffs
b)Vazquez isnt awful he has just played bad lately and is due for a good gae
c)The Sox play no D? you said the same on tuesday and they shut out the twins

e)Sox will not lose so that's why im playing them. I dont bet based on value I bet based on who i think is going to bet a particular game....You are the one that claimed to place bets based on value, and now you are the one making a play on a team that you just said has no value at all.

a: they wona one game playoff, at home, 10-, lost the season series and are in the playoffs bc of a coin flip. so i got one game wrong, big deal. i nailed 2 of 3 yesterday
