Gentlemen, I appreciate the kind comments. During the two-month break I really analyzed how much of my time and money I am willing to put into this. I determined that it is worth my time if I put enough of money into it. I reloaded $5,500 w/Bodog instead of the Greek. For one, the Greek wouldn't accept **, and two: Bodog's baseball lines are a little softer IMO. I am also in full-tilt on CFB and NFL. I cashed out a mutual fund to do this, but I feel that by putting this much of my savings into gambling I am taking a calculated risk that I can beat the return that I was getting on the fund (which was horrible!). The good thing is that I am so scared to lose this money that my degenerate impulses are probably gone for good. (I hope)

I am going to be using Heavens Gate bankroll management: if it worked with $1K, it will work with $5K. 1/11th of my bankroll on every bet, so I will be white-knuckling these games. Not much baseball time left though.

    Good luck Andrew,
I mad the switch from the stock investments to sports investments about five years ago and I have doubled my return with the switch. It can be done. However your mentioning of playing with scared money and degenerate impulses is worrisome. Most of us can relate and I will admit this. What I had to do to curb this and keep it an investment and not a thrill was turn to anti-anxiety medication.

Believe me it helped. I would take it after I made me bets. Turn off the computer and do something else instead of checking scores every five minutes. Its not good on the marriage or your health to be so uptight every night. After some time I weened myself off of them and turned to alternatives. It saved my marriage. Im only saying because of previous posts you have made as we are of the same age and status. Good luck with your investment...

unfortunately, the line moved toward the Cubs. You could've gotten the Brewers later at even or -101.

I worry somtimes now about falling over the edge and becoming a degenerate...and ruining my relationship....

somtimes i think maybe the worst thing that could have happened to me was hitting a crazy lucky streak starting out laying a few bucks here and there on games to keep the interest in baseball after may when my pirates were already out of the pennent race. I take short layoffs pretty frequently to make sure i'm not getting too deep into it.

getting away from the tv or computer after capping and placing a bet is good advice SOL.... you really can't do anything to help or hinder the outcome no matter how hard you yell or scream, once you placed that bet...

Even when I was wagering only $150 a bet my relationship was on the rocks due to the time commitment. But my wife loved the winning streaks. It's a catch-22. In life you just have to do what makes you happy and to hell with the rest.

    Welcome back Saint

I'll be watching your picks. You're one of the better baseball cappers on the site. Good luck.

    Lincecum is 10-2, 2.20 at night. He's 10-1, 2.13 on the road.

Randy J. is 4.95 at home.

    Playing 5-inn line only!

    From Yahoo Sports:
"Bruce Bochy has said he’s trying to be cautious about overworking the 24-year-old’s arm. Lincecum is among the leaders in the NL in innings pitched (207 2-3) after logging 146 1-3 innings in his rookie season last year."

    LINCECUM 5 INNINGS -115
    $500 to win $434

Other play: $500 on WVU -3

Yes, Giants FF is the best way to go because the Giants pen could spoil Lincecum's good work.

If I remember correctly he got off to a bad start and with the Heavens Gate system, it doesn't take long to go through a lot of $$

Saint is my favorite MLB capper on this site.

    Hope he comes back.
