Default Cappin Terp - MLB Thread

I am doing this thread in the hope that it will be informative and profitable. I look forward to ideas , suggestions and even constructive criticism. What I dont want is this Junior High bickering bullshit.!!
I have been handycapping sports for may years and baseball is my best sport. In baseball I bet sides and a fair amount of totals. I use a fair amount of reverses and some parlays. I never lay more than -150 and bet a lot of underdogs. When betting heavy favorites I lay -1.5 runs and take back a small price. Sometimes when betting a small favorite I will lay -1.5 runs and take back + 180 - 200.! Of course timeing has to be rite, for there are a ton of 1 run games in baseball.........more to follow and good luck to all.!!!!!

Balt -115,Brad Bergeson makes his 5th start of the spring with a respectable 3.77 ERA. For Det. its Dontrell Willis looking to lock down the 5th spot in the rotation. Remember its springtraining , 1/2 a unit only. GL

Being at the end of spring trainig all front line pitchers have 20 + innings of work, which provides us with form. Today its the RAYS - 140 over the Mets. M.Garza v.s. M.Pelfrey. Pelfrey has been hammered this spring a ERA of 7.97 , 34 hits in 20.1 inns. has good control with only 2 BB, but a AWHP OF 1.79.!! On the other hand Matt Graza has a ERA of 2.78 in 22.2 inns with only 18 hits and 21 Ks. Has a very good AWHP OF 1.00 !! As a side note the Rays are going for a club record 20 th victory of the spring....More to follow....GL.

BALT. + 160 - Pettitte vs. Simon - Neither pitcher has pitched much this spring,(5 inn. vs. 4inn.).Both teams can hit, belive Balt. will have more incentive here because they wont have much luck in reg. season. Take the price.!!

How about Dodgers, I'd better take them honestly, why do you think Cubs will win tonight?

I like the Cubs because Ryan Dempster has been "lights out" this spring. 21.1 inn. ,1.69 ERA ,OBA OF .173 AND A WHIP OF .89 WHICH IS GREAT. Dont have to lay a price, I like the CUBS.

Lay off the Dodgers. They have lost 4 in row.

4 in a row doesn't mean 10 in a row to me, honestly, especially in pre-season
Rivera is a Baltimore guy, let him pitch some more

DETROIT + 110 -Today is R.Porcello over D.Bush-Porcello has been very good this spring with a 1.50 ERA IN 18 INN. AND A VERY IMPRESSIVE WHIP OF .78!!! On the other hand D. Bush has a 4.34 ERA IN 18.2 INN. AND A WHIP OF 1.34, HE WAS ROCKED IN HIS LAST OUTING GIVING UP 6ER IN 6 INNS. GL.........................MORE TO FOLLOW

Detroit looks good CT! 2-1 I think you were yesterday? Good job, nice call on TB!

I took a chance also with Minny, I know it wasn't a play, but I just felt they'd make a good showing for their fans in the new home. Give up 5 runs in one inning

I think you found a false favorite there, Terp. No way should the Tigers be the dog today. No way.
