Mine was Dave Kingman!
1979, I was 10 years old, and this guy slammed 48 Hr's. That summer I lived for every Kingman At Bat. Thanks to Dave Kingman and WGN I have been a Cubs fan ever since.

Well my pop threw every bit of Ted Williams propaganda at me that he could back in the mid-to-late 50s, also talked about Bobby Thomson-Bobby Thomson-Bobby Thomson from 1951 until Bill Mazeroski's shot in 1960. But it was Yogi Berra and Roy Campanella that both got into my heart first, followed by Carl Yastrzemski the first time I saw his name in a boxscore in '61.
