Harang doesn't have great stuff but if he keeps the ball low he can be effective. Whether the Mets hit him or not.....who knows.

I would not fix something that is not broken

in fact your this style is near perfect

your win % is through the roof

But if you start playing 3 games a day

your win % is going to take a hit

    that's just simple math

please don't take this the wrong way Nasher

This Mets game is driving me bonkers. I can see this finishing 4-2 or 5-1 Braves. It all depends on how Harang does. Niese and the Mets bullpen should give up their fair share of runs.

Niese is solid. Mets bullpen though is another story.

Man, Samardzija was an unreal WR at ND. I remember him and Brady Quinn playing on the same team. I think baseball was the right choice but he could've stuck in the NFL too (imo). Riley Cooper-like.

If there are 10 strong games in one day or 10 games with the same strength over the course of 10 days, it is exactly the same.

    Lol........

If you think there are 10 STRONG games in one day you are going to hit 50% at best......

Lucky to find one bullet proof game let alone 10......

    Just common sense........

I have been betting with such discipline the past 4.5 years or so to build up my bankroll. I just feel like letting some steam today and betting huge just for the hell of it....I wanna know what it feels like.

Just one big $1000 bet on a blind tail. This Mets-Braves OVER 7 might be it. Should I do it?

Nash....if you had to put your first-born child's life on the line for this bet would you do it?

Did not take it the wrong way, I like the Braves to light up Niese like they always do.

    http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/batvsp...jonathon-niese

See the .402 OBA total, that's 40 percent on base percentage.
That's ridiculous, that's almost two base runners an inning 2/5, (two out of five) or 40 percent.
This is not a small sample size, this is 156 at bats I am pulling data from, 172 plate appearances if you throw in 16 walks.
Look at the Freeman line, look at the Heyward line, look at the Justin Upton line, look at the OPS numbers.

hey nash! i think i have a couple good ones, cards ml (good value), cards/washington under, and brewers ml

i really like the cards under as both pitchers have been dominant the last time they went against each other's clubs - wacha giving up only 1 hit, gonzalez giving up 2 runs. Also the brewcrew has been cold with their bats lately but have been going against great pitchers the past week, this is a great opportunity for them to step it up. As for the cards ml, betting wacha is a system within itself

Nash, your thoughts on the Angels-Tigers. Weaver has been bad lately plus the Angels typically struggle against left-handed pitchers. Can Smyly be trusted? Angels did sweep them last year...

yeah i think the Angels may go on a hot streak after that emotional victory over the A's but i'm scared to bet against the Tigers at home.

    Just some FYI:

    (1) The Braves are 10-0 since last season when it's the first game of a series vs a team that has won at least their last two games

    (2) When Jon Niese starts the Mets are 1-9 in the last 2 seasons after he had a WHIP of less than one his last start
