Default F*ck You Pay Me Day 3 Friday 8/14/09

Only a few baseball games today outside of my Grand Slam System. I have seen Jurrjens pitch a couple of times and he certainly shouldn't be an underdog at home so he might as well be favored right? The Phillies just blew away the Cubs and I didn't suffer any because of it, so now I will join the marathon already in progress and fade them with the hot ass Braves who cooled off the Nats enough that the Reds are going to now sweep them. The Braves may just return the favor pimpin'.

Braves-135
Brewers-130

Other mentionables:

NFL Pre-Season

Jets-3 Lots of competition at key positions
Vikings +1.5 Got it early and happy I did
Bengals+3.5 Correct play on the hungrier team

WNBA

Mystics-3
Sky+4

Hey CK, would you still recommend taking Vikings at -2?

Okay, CK, good rationale for the Braves (whoops, already went the other way), but can ya gimme somethin' on how the hell you came up with the BrewCrew against Wandy, perhaps the hottest pitcher across these purple plains? Early dough is jumping on Houston and moving that -135 you got down to -123.

Since I already screwed up with my Phillies pick, help me get brave enough to take Milwaukee and even my MLB record at 1-1 tomorrow.

BTW, already tailed all your NFL and WNBA picks.

And what about the Brewers? Did I wreck your dreams of Wandy-domination or is there some other factor at work? It's all good, CK, you're the best.

One thing to keep mind is that the philllies are 35-19 on the road. But the way they've been hitting it might not even matter.

Yeah Nickel,

I am out here in Brewers country and the public is not at all too happy with their progress this year. Yovnni is a good pitcher that has had some bad luck. The Brewers got a primier from Carrillo yesterday, today they take it out on Wandy, he of the fantastic era.

I waited to wait on the line overnight before releasing it as a play. Now that I know that I will be among the minority on this wager it's acceptable enough to list as a play now!

At my wife's aunt and uncles' spot in Milwaukee. We're gonna take it easy today and pack up for tailgating tomorrow morning. I've already done the wole River Walk thing and I lounged at the Lakefront Brewery and hit up two Brewers games so far. Today I am supposed to walk along Bradford Beach for awhile with my puggie and try out another brewery. Then it's on the highway to spend the night at more extended relatives home closer to Green Bay tonight and tomorrow we tailgate and hit up the Packers!

I'm impressed by the design of the city and how it is boardered by water which also passes through it. I hear it gets cold as shit out here though so no-no-no!

I like kc to win by the runline today. There ace v a demoralized tigers squad. But I like the tigers to win the next 2.

Ha, welcome to the Midwest CK! trust me i am dying in this las vegas heat. 85 degrees in the morning wtf! you know something, it seems like i capped these same pitchers 5 days ago what the hell. i was the douche on the nats yesterday, there was no suspense in that loss so moving on.....watching the games in the sportsbooks here is something. all you need to do is hang out for a few and you will find out who the public is on. lots of new york tourists here. harang is -162 @ the hilton right now. halladay is still -110 and compared to shields there is some value there. some very interesting series right now. best of luck today!

brandon m i look at a lot of things, including how many team wins per last 10 a pitcher has had. the royals have only won 3 of the last 10 starts by grienke. i am still capping the game though and we will see how it turns out.

Yeah that's what I love about the desert! I think that the Rays have to be the play in that game because of the false value put on Halladay.

Alright Ladies and Gentlemen here is a lock parlay play for tonight

COL - Jason Hammel 7-6, 4.66
@
FLA - Josh Johnson 11-2, 2.92

Offense For Both Teams Last 3 Games

FLA- HITS 38 RUNS 24 BA .325 SLG .462

COL- HITS 35 RUNS 21 BA .333 SLG .629

Pitching Match Up

FLA- J. Johnson has gone 6 of his last 7 posing quality starts. He has pitched in COL back on 5/9/09 went 8 innings giving up 7 hits and only 1 run. Has shut down COL bats posing a BA .226 OBP .226 SLG .226.

COL-J. Hammel gets light up tonight. He’s pitch to FLA back on 5/8/2009 giving up 8 hits in 6 runs in 4 innings; what do expect here another wild one. He has not improved nor do I think he will tonight. He has only lasted 6 innings 2 times in 7 recent starts. FLA has had much success against him BA.483 OBP.500 SLG.690

Lets not forget FLA has just taking 3 of 4 from HOU not bad; however prior to that they sweep PHI at home who posses as one of the best offences in the league maybe not lately but at the time they played.. Don’t be fooled by COL bats or high SLG that’s coming off PIT and CHC while only taking one from PHI. I have capped this game out to 12 runs.

Play
FLA -1.5 & Over 8
