Default Broadcasting Live From The Bay Area Giants vs Phillies 7/30/09 through 8/2/09

Right out here in my backyard I can see the airplanes up above carrying the Phillies into SFO and the A's and Blue Birds to Oakland Airport while I roast my tri tip. It's late, and I am feelin' good. Maybe I have had too much sticky. I don't know. Whatever... I have a few series that I have in mind to follow the second half of the week, and surprise f*ckers one of them is this particular series. The other hometown team is playing too but they are showing signs of a possible fire sale.

The Giants are 34-15 at home, and the Phils are 31-16 on the road. Something has to give. Sanchez is the give. He is 1-0 against the Phils and that is enough to ride him again. After all he's just getting started. Lopez already has a loss to the Giants so once again, why stop the roots of trends? Just keep going with them. Blanton is 3-2 overall and Sadowski hasn't ever pitched against the Phils. Advantage and wildcard to the Giants. Lincecum is harder to score off of than Moyer on any day. So that's all that I would need to get 3 wins in 1. I'm gonna roll with the home team.

    Giants+110 for series vs Phillies
    Giants -101 Game 1
    Giants-1.5 +200 Game 1

Tampa Bay has an 8-2 record at home and straight up against the Royals. Talk about domination. The Royals are just plain bad and injured at the same time. Ponson will probably outduel Price who is not ready yet. Ponson is 4-1 overall his last 5 against the Rays, but from there on it's all perfection as Niemann and Sheilds are a combined 6-0 against the Royals in recent form. If the juice is too high for the series, then I may just wait out the first game and then pound them in the next two individually.

    Rays

-140 (Projected) for series vs Royals If higher than -155 NO PLAY
Rays-ANYTHING -135 or under Game 1. If not then
Rays-1.5 RL ONLY if ML is more than -135 Game 1

Oh man do I love rolling with the Twins at home. And now that they owe the Angels a spanking, I think this series will turn ugly. Everything about this series says that it is an even affair. But I do see that Swarzak and Perkins are the only two pitchers of record in this series that are undefeated against the other side. I'm gonna have to roll with the Twinkles. I may sit out the 1st game. Blackburn gets lit up against the Angels and is only 1-3 against them.

    Twins-120 for series vs Angels
    Twins-1.5 +137 RL Game 1

And since we're here in the Bay Area, in keeping with that theme, we have the othr end of the spectrum, the Oaktown A's who are feeling kind of good after bombing out the Red Sox a couple of games. Facing the Blue Birds without having to face Halladay is a nice prospect. But there's only one thing. The remaining guys are 3-1 against the A's overall compared to 0-3 overall for the A's starters in this series. The Blue Birds are 8-2 overall their last 10 games against the A's and 7-3 in games out here in the 'Town. Well I have to roll with that.

Blue Birds+100 for series vs. A's
    Blue Birds+122 Game 1
Blue Birds-1.5 RRL No Line Game 1

I know that i will take a little heat for it, but the Pirates bats are just ice cold and worse than that is the morale of the team after watching management make trade after trade of their up and coming stars. The Nats are crushing the ball right now, and are a little more stable at this time nternally than the Pirates. Guys are coming to work with carry on bags over there. And to make matters worse they have to fly back across country with this type of skepticism and a lighter airplane.

Nats-120 (Projected) for series vs. Pirates
    Nats+ANYTHING Game 1
    Nats-1.5 RRL Game 1

    CK,

Great work on the last set of series as usual. I'm intrigued with the SFO play. Why, in your opinion is the line so low for the Phills tomorrow? They face a rather inconsistent and usually poor pitcher with a much more superior offense. I see no reason as to why the Giants can't compete with them in terms of the series (considering their pitching) but with Sanchez on the mound this line of Philly -115 looks suspicious. Shouldn't this be closer to -140? By all means this would support your leans/feelings on the Giants for tomorrow, I'm just curious here as to what I'm missing here...

Giants could barely scrape together a run last night. Phillies are 11-3 coming off a loss when facing a lefty in their next start. Sanchez has pitched very poorly second half. Despite throwing a no-hitter his last outing at home, it came against the Padres in the midst of a brutal run. No Rowand for the Giants. Freddy Sanchez probably won't start until tomorrow. And the Phillies got shut out yesterday. In two starts after being shut-out Phillies are 1-1 with 12 and 5 runs scored. 5 runs is enough to win by 2 against these Giants. I'm on Phillies heavy today but not sure what tomorrow will bring. GL!!! With you on the rest o those picks though. Might hold off the Angels!

I hope not. We don't want any wholesale changes unless the guy was swinging a hot bat coming in. From what I understand he was nursing a slight knee injury

I actually think that Houston is gonna win it outright for me today! I could have played it safe and taken the RL -125, but I want the big money if they are gonna play em close. I ain't leavin' nothin on the table. I also took Houston-1.5+250 RRL small. I want all of the crumbs

I hope the Mets continue to polish off the Rockies so I can go 3-0 on the series for the 1st half of the week. No bets for me on the Metros today, but my series wager is still pending due to the rainout.

Mets lead 7-0 right now... anyone think the Rockies can avoid the sweep today ? ... normally I would take the Cubs today on the RL, but considering CK is on them today and I somehow got a bad feeling about the game... well I think I will leave that one alone...

can the Dodgers avoid the sweep here today ?...

that CWS game looks good and also the Giants should win 1 of the first games against the Phillies... that said TX should win a game too... so probably gonna take them on the RL or so... but its still early...

LETS go Mets... btw anyone still interested in the CFL... marigold HD (very good capper in CFL) posted his pick for today to take the over 54.5 tonight between MON and EDM...

...and guys whats new... went to the hooker again... she even laughed about me today... couldnt believe I would really have Sex with her today and she also found it kind of amusing when I told her I talked with you guys about it and that I am a semi-pro gambler... she laughed even more... she really thought I would be a student or something like that (when was the last time a student spent $1200 on a hooker in 1 week ?)...hell crazy... next time I will make some pics of her... but no face she said... 5 picks for $40 ... sounds good to me...or what do you guys think ?

also where is LDK... didnt see hima round here for a few days ?... also how is your blingblang mlb system going ?... had some time to do the math ?

    GL guys

As a person who's finger was on the pulse of the Mets before they turned things around I would suggest that you not play against them for the foreseeable future. Iam taking them game 1 against the Astros too. Livan's 5-0 against the Astros his last 5.

The Nats will actually lose this series to the Pirates some kind of way. Lannan has a bad number against the Pirates, and that could mean a loss in game 1 which would be pivotal with the pitching the Pirates have. Plus I didn't like that the Nats were underdogs in this series. I will be playing the Pirates on an individual game basis since they apparently will be getting money at home....

As I stated keep riding the Mets until the wheels fall off. You are getting excellent value now for them. It won't last. When the starters come back from injury the lines will go back up again.
