Default MLB picks

Mets -150

One of the best pitcher's in the game w/ a potent offense, whats not to like? Harang has his flashes of greatness but in this situation I think the mets take advantage of a young but talented Reds team.

Pirates -1.5 +300

I know RRL are crazy but I believe that this game is a toss up. Maholm finished last season great and had his best year in his career. St. Louis always find a way to put a winning team together but this year I don't think offensivly they will be as strong. Wainwright was a stud last year at home but being the first game of the year you never know.

Yankees -180

I don't see any reason that Baltimore can stay in this game. C.C. has proven he is one of the best. Although A-rod is out I still feel the Yanks still have a great offense. Guthrie has pitched well but to me he doesn't have the stuff that matches his number.

Toronto -140 & over 7.5 -105

I'd choose Halladay any day. If Verlander turns to his old form he could be a dominent pitcher but I don't believe so. His velocity has been way down and last year had been crushed. If Detriot does win, this game will be over 7.5 run, so therefore I picked both.

4/7

Giants -150

Brewers on the road going against the NL cy young winner will be a tough test. Although the Brew crew have had some sucess against Lincecum. Brewers last year and this year will be a strike out prone team, and they rely way too much on the long ball. I'd take my chances over a shaky Suppan on the hill who has always struggled on the road. Consider the over in this game also, both teams have average bullpens and with the crew's long ball threat it could easily go over.

Marlins -140

Johnson has shown that he can pitch. If he is anything like last year he will give the nats trouble. The nats on the other hand has Scott olsen on the mound and as you might know he pitched for the Marlins last year. He had his ups and downs but this Marlins team is once again filled with young talent.

Rockies & Dbacks Under 8.5 +115

After yesterday's game a lot of people seem to be liking the over. Haren had a great year last year and would like nothing better to start off strong. Same goes for Jimenez who finished last year strong and has a lot of potential if he can locate well. Also he has been very good vs. the Dbacks in the past. Look for this game to stay close and if the bullpens can hold onto leads this game should go under.

M's & Twins Over 8.0 +105

Opposing teams hit .292 off Blackburn last year, with that type of average and playing in the Dome 8 runs isn't too much to ask for. Bedard has under achieved consider the hype he had. If he can't locate well the Twins should take advantage and get the the bullpen early.

3-0 so far with one remaining in good shape.

I don't want to jinx myself at all but normally going 8-1 isn't typical but I know bases very well and plan on winning throughout the whole season. Whoever wants to follow go right ahead or those who have opinions/questions don't be afraid to critize me because thats what this forum is for. I'm here to help those out who are looking for more insight on games, not looking for people to tail my picks because I'm hot. Good luck to all tomorrow.

Marlins -125

I find no reason to bet against this hot team. Cabrera is on the mound for the Nats and he hasn't been able to use his talent to be a good pitcher. His WHIP was over 1.60 last year and ERA of 5.25, this season I don't see that changing unless he is able to locate. On the other side the Marlins go with Volstad, he is young and a little inexperience but has some upside. If he can keep this close the Marlins should be able to finish them off. The over looks good too but I will lay off .

Cards -150

Zach Duke wouldn't be pitching on most teams rotations, he had his moments last year but tomorrow I don't see him slowing down the Cards. Wellemeyer impresses me as a pitcher, he has multiple pitches that he throws for strikes. Most of his pitches are deceiving and when he is on, he is tough to stop.

Texas +105

I don't get why Cleveland is a small favorite in this game. Carmona may look like the better pitcher but hasn't proven anything. No team hits like Texas at home.

Twins -140

Silva is horrible enough said. Slowey is a decent pitcher, but what helps him the most is not allowing walks. The effect of yesterdays game mentally could give an edge to the twins.

The sportsbooks are just trying to conceal the truth so as to fool the public!

I'm playing Texas. Texas -1.5 is also tempting.

11-2 + 9.95

I'll have smaller write ups , don't have much time.

Dodgers -135

Dodgers have the advantage at the plate and on the mound. The young kershaw with the nasty bender will try to limit the top 3 hitters ( Gonzalez, Gerut, Giles) all who bat left and will have a tough matchup. I believe -135 is good value for the Dodgers against an average pitcher who stunk it up last year.

White Sox -145

White Sox bats will heat up against Davies. Danks has pitched well last year and against the Royals.

Yanks -160

3 games in a row? I don't think so with Burnett on the mound.

Tigers & Blue jays Over 9.5 -110

Two young pitchers making their debut. Bullpens may be used early.

forgot one play

Cards -1.5 +120

Didn't want to play -180 , so decided if the Cards win the game, their going to win big and they should.

13 games is not a good sample size. Yes I'm hot right now but baseball is a long season and it will have its ups and downs. I wouldn't advise anybody to tail me unless they feel that its the right play.

16-7 +10.03 units

Last pick of the day, and I love this play but thats also what I fear about it.

Cubs -121

Demps last outing proved last year wasn't a fluke. I know I'm not a big believer myself but he does have some good stuff that he can all throw for strikes. He will keep these brewers hitters off balance and try to force a lot of GB outs. On the other side, I absolutely hate Suppan and this is coming from a Brewers fan. He is not worth the money but to agrue with that he has done fairly well at Miller Park. If the cubs can get to the Suppan early this game should be a blow out.
