5* Philadelphia with Hamels boxed -102
    5* Texas -117
    10* Kansas City -124

These lines were offered at 5 Dimes. They seem to have the best, most reliable, and tightest spreads out there.

Good lookin' card tonight, John. On a couple of those already. Good luck!

    ok Friday Night Lights.

    5* Angels -139

    5* Pirates +131

    5* Seattle +233

    I like a single 3* parlay using Seattle +233 and Pittsburgh +131.

Cliff Lee was placed on waivers and I don't think people are quite understanding what this means. It does NOT mean that if a team claims him, that Lee then is a member of that team. Philadelphia, or any team, that places a player on waivers, has the right to pull them back to the roster without penalty. Or they can negotiate a trade, or if the team truly wants to free up money, the claiming team can assume the existing contract on the player.

What this means, is that Philadelphia, is simply testing the market to see if anyone out there is truly interested in Lee. A team will not just claim him and the 97 million remaining over the next three years or 105 million over the next four years under his current contract, because they could get him.. Not very likely as it is a 100% certainty that the Phillies would pull him back off of waivers. They would something significant in return for the trade.

I saw this on several twitter feeds today and for us, I only wanted to clarify what the waiver process entails in a abbreviated example.

So, you will see other marquee names from other teams being placed on Waivers. as the next tradig deadline approaches.

Do you live in Philly John? Can't help but noticed you play Phils almost every day. Now your posting about Eagles.

AND YES; the Fat Boy is back in the thread to pile on.

I never said to bet the Eagles just FYI.

5* Phillies with Halladay boxed. weather is an issue at the start. 95% chance of thunderstorms in the area at 7:00 PM ET. That is why you want Halladay boxed. If he warms up and it storms and then does not start the bet is a No Action ticket. Line is -123 at Five Dimes currently. The reasons and facts why I like the Phillies and all my plays are found on the site.

    10* Toronto +129

nice call. even though I lost (again) with these three significant dogs, the lost was just .42 units per * unit wagered. That is far more manageable than taking those three favorites with the HUGE risk and winning barely .3 units per one unit wagered.
