    Default Dexter's 2012 MLB Plays

Same Auto-Bets from last season, except i will assign different weights compared to 2011. A4 will obviously have a new stable of umpires as i look at the last 2 seasons of data.

A1: Playing any Starting Pitcher who has a WHIP of 1.00 or < in his last 3 games over a pitcher who has a 1.80 or > WHIP in his last 3. Both pitchers last 3 games have to be within the last 30 days. The pitcher with the 1.00 or less WHIP must have the better ranked bullpen era behind him. I will move some plays to the run-line when i cant get a better price then -160. 3u per play.

A2: Playing the Over when both pitchers have a WHIP of 1.80 or > in their last 3 games. Both pitchers last 3 games have to be within the last 30 days. Neither of the 2 bullpens can be ranked 1-5 in era. 3u per play.

A3: Playing the Under when both pitchers have a WHIP of 1.00 or < in their last 3 games. Both pitchers last 3 games have to be within the last 30 days. Neither of the 2 bullpens can be ranked 26th - 30th in era. 10u per play.

A4: Playing the Over or Under per the below when these Umpires are behind home plate. Win rate for these Umpires has been 58% or > for 2010, and 2011.

Over Umpires: Sam Holbrook (2u), Kerwin Danley (2u), Scott Barry (2u), Tim Welke (2u), Mark Wegner (2u)
Under Umpires: Greg Gibson (4u), Lance Barksdale (2u), Doug Eddings (2u), Dan Iassogna (2u)

Can you explain what the autobets consist of? It's not detailed above for A1, A2 or A3. Thanks.

Looking forward to your insights again this year, Dex. If I recall, you started out pretty cold early on and went on a tear towards the 2h??

Here's to hoping you have another prosperous MLB season

it was nothing too drastic - i think i may have been down maybe 20u at 1 point - but yeah, the 2nd half/postseason was better then 1st half.

    Hey Dexter,
Fan of the threads. Just wondering if you have/remember what your total units won was for the 2010 MLB season. I know you had the same/similar autobets, and I have seen those records. Just wondering how well you came out total that year

Thanks and good luck this season!

Hey Bud...see the post right above yours. Plays ranged from 1-8u last year with avg bet size i would say around 2-3u. i played A1, A2, and A3 for 8u a game last year. adjusted that this year to whats listed in post 1.

Thanks for reply, but isn't that 2011? I meant 2010. I know that last year was awesome! I'm not even sure if you had an MLB thread for 2010, just wondering how you came out.

    Looking forward to this season!

my bad...i did have a thread. if you do a search you may be able to find it, but i finished down about 40u that year. i was up most of the year then collapsed down the stretch if i recall. but i also then tweaked my autobets going into 2011 and that proved to make a big difference. i basically went back and added the bullpen info and also making sure the pitchers last 3 games were in the last 30 days. A4 was brand new last season, as i had no umpire AutoBet ever in the past.

Looks very interesting, I especially like A1. Umpires Im always weary about, I never dabbled in that.

    GL dude!

Im probably reading this wrong but how do you get YTD as 331-286 (+193.05u) when you then broke down all the individual bet type records and they dont add up to 331-286?

because i also make many other plays besides the "autobets".....i dont just bet the A1-A4 plays above. my regular plays are usually for 1u each, unless i really like a game...

Going through all the teams and reading up on roster changes etc....the Angels are going to be legit. Great pitching, and Pujols will obviously add a whole new dimension to this offense. Mike Trout will be a ROY candidate....

Good Luck this year Dex. I gotta admit you have discipline to stick with all those autobets and umpire things.

i will do a prediction of team wins, division winners, world series teams in a few weeks. so far i am only through 9 teams. the angels are going to be legit and a 95 win team. cubs look awful and may be in the 60 win range.

Dex the angels will be an easy fade , especially early on. They will be severely overpriced. Watch out for the jays.

really appreciate you posting this system, makes a lot of sense. how many units are A4 type plays, or do they vary?

Good stuff Dexter. For two years now, A3 has been hitting at a very high rate. do you happen to have any more historical numbers on this stat? Looking forward to following it for sure.
