    Default JB's MLB 2011 picks

Opening day 2011 is finally here. Now that I have a little time to officially track my MLB plays from the start, figured I'd give it a shot. I love this time of year!

Good luck, going to go with it but at 7 1/2 -120.

Hopefully it won't come to that extra 1/2 for me today, but I like it at -120 for sure! I cashed a ton of Unders last year with the Pads and I don't see any reason why this won't continue. They have an even better defensive squad this year and lost Adrian Gonzalez which was the only true power bat in that line up. I was thinking the odds on the RL for the Pads looked good to, but I'm going to start slow until we get a few weeks into the season and just play the Under today. BOL

3-2 Cards top of the 9th. Padres hit a game tieing HR with 1 out left in the game. 3-3.... extra innings to blow the Under 7. Hopefully I can at least push. Now I have to root for only 1 run in the 10th to get out of this wager with my cash back. That 7 1/2 at -120 is looking much nicer right about now odog11. Lets go solo HR, end this thing at 7.

Another 9th inning blow up to lose the Under. That's 2 days in a row now. Time to look harder at the bullpens moving forward.

Never bet a HOU under with Brandon Lyon as their closer. Ever. I don't care if the O/U is 20.

I can't believe he's still in the game at all, let alone a closer for someone.

another SFO -105 (3x) to total 5 units. I really like the value with Cain today.

White Sox First 5 -125 (2x) Let's see if they can start off hot again. Their bullpen is questionable after yesterday so I'm roilling with the first 5 today.

I wouldnt worry about either teams bullpen.

All the guys that were pitching after the starters were their bottom of the barrel guys. The game had been decided by the 5th inning, and both the managers played the game as such.

Good point Houli. I'm sick of bullpens killing my wagers this early in the season. I've had some bad luck lately. I've already lost 2 totals in the 9th so I think it's playing with my head a little. Figured I'd play the White Sox F5 and see if I can turn it around.

Taking a rookie on the road for his first start, so tread lightly. Beachy looked great in preseason and I hope it continues today in Milwauke. The Brewers are fade material until they win, and I'm not a big fan of Narveson, so here it goes...

    Atl -105 (2x)

I think I'm going to take this too JB. Like the line movement, and Beachy was outstanding this spring. Just hope I'm not buying high and selling the struggling Brewers low. Narveson stinks, though.

I agree NC, Narveson sucks. But I just peaked at the line and it looks like it may be moving against us now.

on the braves also, Brewers have never seen Beachy so that should help him alot. I'll be checking out your thread, good luck this season.

Pirates and Orioles also looking good, whats your take on either of those games?

    I noticed that too.

May just pass. GL, though -- Braves are the better team, but it's bases and that doesn't always matter.

Beachy played the last half of the season, and looked great.

Orioles are surprising, but I'm not sure about laying chalk against Detroit this early. Pirates has some value, but I'm thinking the Cardinals may squeek this one out. Personally I don't think I'll have a play on these games. BOL
