I think they have a shot - Atlanta, Washington, and the Phillies aren't pitching that much better.
The great thing about the Marlins is that they play as a team. There's no franchise player, some multi-millionaire hotshot asshole trying to steal the show. They're all in it together. Team chemistry goes a long way (in any sport).
