We missed out on what should have been a huge day yesterday with heartbreaking losses on 6* Ohio State (Two quarterbacks are worse than one. Still should have won if we don't have to try so many field goals, and miss one.) and 5* Alabama (besides handing So. Miss 14 points in the first half, they also fumble going in for the covering TD with 2 minutes left). We did get lucky enough on 1* LSU. We've got some baseball today, to go along with the NFL posted early in this thread.
Baseball Overall (86-69-1, +40.78*)
Baseball Sides (53-41, +46.43*)
2* Rockies (Cook) vs. D’Backs (Ortiz) -145
Cook has been masterful lately, and Ortiz and the D’Backs bullpen have been awful this season.
2* A’s (Kennedy) @ Rangers (Rogers) +116
Rangers are worst team in baseball against lefties, Rogers has been struggling, and the A’s are playing with a since of urgency.
Baseball Totals (33-28-1, -5.65*)
3* Red Sox (Wakefield) @ Yankees (Johnson) Under 9.5 -110
Wakefield always befuddles the Yankees, and he can eat up innings so the Yankees don’t crush the horrible Red Sox bullpen. While Johnson has been erratic, we feel he is going to be like his old self this last month.
2* Pirates (Maholm) @ Reds (Claussen) Under 9.5 -110
Two good unknown pitchers. Pirates are horrible on the road against lefties.
2* Mets (Martinez) @ Cardinals (Morris) Over 7.5 +110
The Cardinals are going over in around 70% of Morris’s starts, and both he and Pedro struggled last time out. There is suspicion Pedro has been hiding an injury.
1* Marlins (Valdez) @ Phillies (Lieber) Under 9.5 -110
Two pitchers who have been at the top of their game recently in what is similar to a playoff series.
1* Astros (Oswalt) @ Brewers (Helling) Over 7.5 -115
Helling is horrible, and Oswalt has been erratic enough to make this a small play.
1* Cubs (Rusch) @ Giants (Tomko) Over 8.5 Even
Two bad pitchers. Don’t expect Rusch to duplicate his performance from last week against St. Louis.
1* Twins (Silva) @ Indians (Lee) Under 8.0 -115
Silva almost never walks anyone, and has been solid throughout his career. Lee has been fabulous for Indians.
