I seriously doubt he will face a firing squad.
The rich and famous get away with murder and we all know it. When was it last time a celebrity was convicted of anything anyway ?
Also, the Vietnamese authorities will be concerned about the image problem they will end up with if a death sentence is carried out (not that they care much about it anyway).
I believe that a pedophile should be thrown in jail for a long, long time but a firing squad ? Geeez, guys. Let's get real.
