Your right...if Root wants to run nobody will stop him. He's got the money.

I think the problem is that the GOP could really win that seat. I think Reid being the Minority leader makes caputuring the seat slightly more difficult (i.e. very visible which leads to more votes) and the fact that Reid is by no means a liberal presents more challenges for the GOP...but Nevada is one of those states that goes either way.

I think if Root is true to the GOP and is a Republican, his best bet is not to run so that he can give his party a chane to win.

I mean everyone has a right to run but to win public office is no easy task and once you win it, you better have a plan...just ask Schwarzeneggar.
